to afraid to go for colonoscopy and ct scan

Hi, does anyone out there suffer really bad with ibs for years and bad piles, and had a fit test of 26 or a positive fit test, not had a ct scan or colonoscopy.

Hi, please do not be afraid to have a colonoscopy which they can sedate you before, or ct scan which is not painful at all. I had a colonoscopy some years ago and I had piles I told them about my piles and they numbed them before hand. The CT scan will show if you have any other problem which I had done 2 weeks ago and they found a small hernia and also small gallstones. Now I have been referred to have a MRI next Friday. I am nervous but I know they will find out exactly what needs to be done. Good luck and please dont worry.

I agree with Nothingimpossible. I was very apprehensive about having a colonoscopy, but it really wasn't anything to be scared of. The most tedious part is the prep before hand, but it is manageable. CT scan, noisy, but not painful.

Agree with what's been said by others and add that I had a hemorrhoid when I went for a colonoscopy informed the endoscopist and she used the paediatric scope, felt nothing. Good luck 🍀
