Period d*?

I was once a regular poster here since taking 2 antibiotics back in May 2019. Finally, after almost a year, I think I'm on the edge of being out of the woods. The last imodium I took was 10 weeks ago and in comparison to how much I took its outstanding. I think low stress has been the main thing that's helped, resulting in solid bms. I've not strictly stuck to low fodmap but steered clear of garlic and onions(although last time I had onion I was absolutely fine). However, yesterday and today I've had awkward bms. I had gas both mornings which was painful and generally grim then 20mins later had what looked like explosive d*. I started my period yesterday and had quite bad cramps but I'm quite light so would this still cause d*? I'm tempted to take an imodium as I'm scared it'll kick me off on a long bad flare but I'm determined to keep it for emergency. Should also mention I only go once a day. Hope everyone's OK

As, us women were designed to have all our bits in the same area I am not surprised that we get loose bm's when we have a period. I had confirmed IBS d and used to get worse at period time, very much worse a few years later when Endo was diagnosed.

Hey - thanks for this - I don't really know why I'm questioning it when I always have such wacky period symptoms - as you say it's in our design haha it sucks. Just weird how the last 2 months I didn't get d* on my first day. I didn't go afterwards yesterday so I think it's literally just that. Probably gonna calm down as my period is extremely extremely dead this month due to weight loss. Thanks for the reassurance
