Spelt Sourdough Bread

I've finally been successful in making Spelt Sourdough Bread. I used a recipe from the Dove's Farm website.

The photo was taken at an angle, the bread did rise, it's not flat as it looks in the photo.

Well done. I have been making this for some time, using the same recipe. I find that I can eat one slice, but no more, so I slice the freshly baked bread and freeze the slices in a plastic bag. Once thawed, they last weeks in the fridge . Good luck!

Thank you Mayhill and the instructions are clear, it's a good recipe.

I can eat more than one slice of other sourdough bread so I should be fine with this one. However other wheat and non sourdough bread play havoc.

I'd be lost without being able to freeze things as my hubby and me eat very differently as he's a meat eater and I'm a Vegan. I didn't realise the bread lasted that long but I understand how because of the fermentation process.

Here's to it working for you. I really hope you find something to ease your IBS, it does suck and I feel for you.

I've had it since 1996 and am finding out slowly but surely what foods I can and can't eat.
