Buprenorphine trouble

This darn patch wears off every week around day 5-6 and slot over the last two days the pain increases and with drawl begins. I have a stash of buprenorphine sublingual tablets 8mg but taking them is problematic. First they always make me.nauseous no matter how hard I try not to swallow any of the spit. Keeping that big dam tablet under my tongue for the whole time is hard ,but then the pain releif is hardly even two hours long then slowly returns. Not to mention the second wave of nausea that comes around hour 3. Good greif. Has anyone else used this, it is indeed the only product I've tried in seven years that can hold the pain at bay each day. I only eat one meal a day soft food. I use fodmap as a guide but it doesn't help too much. I need a better way of handling when the patch wears off, think I'll get the doc to prescribe one month of a double patch, then keep the extras and change the patch on the night of day 5 so it kick in before the other patch begins to wane

If you tell your medics that the patch doesn't last for the full period, they should be able to amend the dose so that you are not left in pain for one third of the time.
