Colonoscopy Update

Had my Colonoscopy today all went fine a bit uncomfortable, the nurse said I was the only one who hadn't had any sedatives this morning, only because I wanted to go straight home after the procedure. the consultant said everything looked fine no inflamation, found a 2mm polyp but said it was not anything to worry about. The dr took a few biopsies from diffrent parts of my colon just to check there is no inflamation that is not visible using the scope like colitis. He also check my ileocecal valve and the opening to the small intestine and said both was ok. The nurse reasured me and said there was nothing sinster at all. 🙂

It was painfull I did had gas and air. I just wanted to be fully conscious when they had finished the procedure so i could ask lots of questions. I have OCD and I ask so many questions so quick I forget the answers to the previous question I just asked. I should of had a sedative looking back.🙂

Just a quick update all the 11 biopsies that had been taken during my colonoscopy have come back fine. The dr said he went 11cm into my small intestine and everything looked healthy.I have been diagnosed with IBS.
