If I take probiotics can I continue to take my prescribed ibs treatment from the doctors? .I'm having the worst flair up I've had in years a lot of pain in my left side .I'm beginning to fear the worst which makes my ibs worse ,I know you will say go to the doctors but I seem to have a phobia about doctors and hospitals.

Probiotics are essentially a supplement so yes. It's definitely worth telling your doctor though, as they should be aware of anything you're taking.
