Constipation

Hi , just wondering if some people have problem as me ... when I am constipated I find it hard to wee and once I have been number 2 I can wee again

I've been having this problem too. I stopped doing the pelvic floor exercises as I knew I wasn't doing them correctly and that seems to have helped.

Yes, me too. Probably pressure on the bladder stopping it so easier to go once the pressure has gone.

Yes i seem to not go as much for a number 1 if i can't have a number 2.

Yes I have the same, although I am much older than you (71) and have a uterine and bladder prolapse, nevertheless it’s apparently the pressure of the bowel pressing on the urethra when you get really backed up. Such a relief when you let everything go

The bladder and bowel helpline are useful see bbuk.org.uk/adults/ pelvic floor exercises can help as well if they are done correctly. Could see GP to check you havent got mild prolapse as very common in women especially after childbirth. Nothing to worry about but it may help.

Flax seed, veggies and lots of water as well as yakult all good for Constipation.
