Soooo... apparently I am in permanent 'flight response'!! I have been seeing a therapist and can see the link, but my question is How is it possible to have so much poop! ?? I mean honestly I've already been for 3 decent sized poos and still im needing to go! I can understand the flight response but surely once empty this should go?? Instead I constantly need and can indeed go!! I always feel uncomfortable / bloated and have these horrid gurgling sounds from my bowels (not stomach)!! I'm not stressed today but indeed am becoming because of this constant strong urge to go!! Have taken Imodium! And my usual anti anxiety pills! What else can I do?? Many thanks. ๐Ÿ™Xx

I have been told the same thing. I do experience anxiety frequently and know this aggravates my INS D. I have been given a low dose beta blocker to reduce the amount of adrenaline being produced. I am also seeing a therapist as I know I need to find a better way to cope. Your symptoms sound very much like mine so you have my deep sympathy x

Thank you, gosh I'm suffering today too, seriously affects my mood!! to be honest I do most days!! Have very few ok days!! I'm seriously fed up, I've done therapy, taken meds etc but nothing seems to work, I don't know anyone else like me, all my friends seem to have normal healthy bowels! The thought of going out the house for a whole day petrifys me, I'm usually ok if after say 11am!! So I've been able to have lots of trips to the loo! But today I'm feeling like it won't stop, so I've taken Imodium again!!!! Only had rice for my Tea too! Don't think mines food related tbf! Xx I feel for you too, this really is a horrible condition ๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜žxx

Up until 6 months ago I could eat almost anything but now I am definetly sensitive to certain things... But I'm sure some of my reaction to certain foods is anxiety related. I can often feel sick before I need to go the loo and never know how bad it's going to be. I know I have to continue to tackle my anxiety as well as test out different foods... Rice is regular 'safe' food for me too! I really hope you feel better soon x

Hi Flik, with regard to your comment about "how is it possible to have so much poop", my answer is that I must be abducted by aliens each night and force-feed somehow without my knowledge. Sorry, I don't mean to be flippant but it makes me laugh and kind of makes me feel better and I tell myself that at least I haven't lost my sense of humour yet!! Maureen.
