Does anyone have trouble with apples? Thought it was because they had the peel and were even raw. The day before yesterday had a peeled apple which I cooked. Can see now this had me reaching for the Immodium. Too late to help me today however having looked back over my food diary am having a repeat performance alongside the nausea and the sweating. Bananas are fine but think it may be because an apple contains more fructose.
Thanks for reading my ramble.

Hmmm. That’s odd. What about other fruit? I like apples eat lots but the only thing that causes what you describe to me is pears. I wonder if it’s the same. I’m bunged up at mo wish I had the other lol. To much milk makes me bad tummy.
Yes pears are also high in fructose. Not sure if they are higher than an apples. Bananas are the only fruit I can tolerate, mangoes and dried fruit even worse.
Hmm interesting. Never tried mango. Dried fruit yes definitely gives me funny tummy. I had bag of nuts and fruit other day had to take some buscopan to get through the day. Was bad.
Have just checked online. Apple's are highest then pears then bananas. Have always been lactose intolerant and since antibiotics five months ago fructose intolerant too. Such a bland diet of fish, chicken, eggs and oats, and wheat is driving me mad. Good luck in your struggle.
Thank you that is so helpful. Did have trouble with peas. Seriously thought I was suffering anxiety, well I am but now there is a logical reason it is all starting to make sense. Can cope with potatoes without their skin but carrots don't seem good either. Think I will stick to leafy salads as have had a reasonably good day. Will continue with my multi vitamins too.
Apples are a definite no on low FODMAP. So are peas. I don’t eat potatoes either. Causes too much wind for me. I have seen quantity of food is as important as what you eat. How much you eat can easily make a low FODMAP food high FODMAP. I follow the monash university app for FODMAP. They clearly have prescribed the quantities of food to be consumed. Makes it a bit easier to follow.
yes. No apples for me. Not even a quarter. It's one of the few foods which I cannot juggle towards a certain treshold ("half a slice of white bread + a handful of potato chips" or "20 cc of yoghurt". Not both.)
Banana is fine (I need them for the Kalium)(= Potassium for US people). As is lemon juice. I crave it!
Yes I've always had stomach trouble with apples. I've since discovered that they are very high fermenter in your bowel and I've been advised by a dietician to stay away from them. I'm on the fodmap diet from the hospital with dietician support.
