l used linzess 145 this morning. linzess worked for 3 days and now l have little
bowel movement this morning after l used linzess. l also have cramps too. l do
not believe l will use linzess again. Had high hopes for linzess too. Has anyone else'
suffer pain or no bowel movement after taking linzess??

Linzess can be harsh on the system. I take the higher dose from time to time but the awful loose D is too much to take it regularly Maybe you are cleared out for now and that’s why you have cramps?
When I first started having constipation issues I found that Linzess was too severe. But after many months of failing reaction to other meds (Amitiza, etc) I have returned to it. I've used it before dinner for a couple of weeks and it is working great, as long as I stay home for 3-4 hours. I hope it continues to work for me, as I was feeling desperate. Good luck!
l gave linzess another try today. l tried to eat better yesterday thinking it may help me! l did pass a lot of gas and to me that is a good thing!! l had a bowel movement yesterday and it was not a good one like l have been. So l took linzess this morning and followed everything and no bowel movement. I did have great hope for linzess but will not try this again! l am so happy for all who it does help!!! l know how IBS constipation is and have suffered with this off and on for a long time. Had all kinds of test done 2 years ago and they found nothing.. l just started taking linzess on the Oct 24. Maybe l am not giving it enough time....but l have the side effects they talk about.. Bloating and did have cramps some yesterday. l guess the side effects for me is tooo much for me to keep using Linzess. l have noticed linzess does not work for everybody...
Does anyone maybe have thoughts about the linzess.??

You might to try the higher dose for to work every day. I took it for about 3 weeks and there was the odd day when it didn’t work, so stressful. But didn’t have cramps.
Thanks Angie....I do appreciate what you said. I really haven't understood Linzess or really Irratable Bowel Syndrome. l do try so very hard too. I used to not eat and lost so much weight till sometime ago due to the fact of IBS and Spasms. l am trying to do better but when things like this happen then somehow l get afraid again. I know l probably get worried tooo much. The colonscopy showed l had a long gut and my intestines are knotted up. He said stop the worrying! He had seen many people who have the same thing. Worry brings things a lot worse for me he said. l do try not to worry!! Angie l do appreciate your infomation. Thank you Again Angie!
Thanks Again Angie.....You know Angie when l read your comment it seemed to help me calm down and not worry so! I did have a bowel movement today. I got up this morning what should l do. I hated the bloating and waking up during the night worrying about this. The doctor had suggested the 290 at one time but l always went back to the 145. I believe this will work better than the 145. Thanks Again! Thank you all for your comments. Does help so much in not going it alone...
I know how you feel. My consultant tells me as well that worrying makes it worse. As if I don’t know that already!! But when you are stressed it’s doesn’t help to be told to stop.
Ask your dr could you double your dose of linzess ie take 2 of tablets of the dose you have been given?
Lynette have you tried glycerine suppositories? I use them very frequently xx
This morning l did....and this started things along too! l will call the doctor tomorrow and ask him about the 290 mg too!
I’m delighed the suppositories worked for you. As I have said I need to use them. All we can do is try and manage as best we can. If that means using methods that once we swore we wouldn’t use , so be it.
My diet is excellent, I exercise, drink lots of fluids etc etc.

You know Angie l did call my gastro Dr and told her about the pain
this morning and the other day and she said to continue using the Linzess since it is working for me. I know l am a constipated person and having to use laxatives but l have really suffered with the Linzess today. I mean not double up person. Feels like it has stripped everything. But l guess l really need to poor the food in me! I know she knows how l suffer with constipation for a long time. I guess l need to be glad the linzess does work!! And really l am!!!!.....better than being no stools or struggling with laxatives!!!! And that is for sure!
The strange thing is l had not even taken the linzess this morning. l feel l still had linzess from yesterday. But l am glad anyway. I will start on the 290 mg tomorrow. l really believe it will work better for me. l will call the doctor tomorrow and suggest the 290 mg. But like l said he wanted me to anyway.
