Hi everyone
I've been experiencing back pain lately is it a symptom of ibs?
When my IBS is bad I get a lot of low back pain - it can make me feel quite nauseous and faint at times.
Hi, yes it is a symptom of IBS. I have been suffering with really bad lower back pain for a while now and it gets worse when my IBS is worse. My husband has a bad back and that effects his bowels so basically IBS sufferers have it the other way around. Think it can be caused by a number of things, straining, pushing out of the gut wall due to constipation, multiple bowel movements or pain receptors in the gut being overly sensitive. I find a hot water bottle & ibuprofen helps ease the pain a little but on a really bad day nothing seems to help.
Hi there, I don't get back pain but do get nausea and I take a travel sick tablet and that works for me, it may be worth a try for your nausea.
All the very best
I do big time x
Hi moni
I've just been diagnosed with pain IBS and get severe low back pain, abdominal pain and nausea. My Gastro recommended buscopan which I've tried and it really works!. Takes the pain away so worth a try as its horrible. Good luck with it. X
