I've posted a few times about being diagnosed with IBS by two different doctors on two different occasions when I attending A&E with right side abdominal pain when it got unbearable.

Since then I've had several trips to the GP who's organised a ultrasound as well as gave me suggestions like getting checked at the GUM clinic.

I've had so many blood tests, urine tests, swabs from the GUM clinic all negative.

Was given a trial run of omprazole 20g 1 a day and I'm just over a week of taking them all all symptoms have improved dramatically.

I had been badly constipated for about 2 months along with this constant horrible pain under my right rib which I've never experienced before.

(Bowel movements are back to normal)

While researching online about it I discovered duodenum ulcers which I'm convinced is what I'm dealing with, prob caused by antibiotics and painkillers I took at the start of this year due to pneumonia when I was in hospital for a week.

I hope by putting my own experience on here others may get some answers :)

That is great to hear your poops are back to normal :) I've been getting fuzzy white tissue lookin' balls in my stool for awhile, likely from the fat in my salmon yesterday and have had many urine, blood and biopsy tests done basically to be diagnosed with IBS. I have gotten the slight burning pain right under my right rib too. Diarrhea seems ongoing as do many food intolerances, even the so-called healthy foods that are low-fodmaps. I had blood in the mucus around my stools for 4-5 days about a month ago, too. Digestive supplements have been the most helpful so far. Do you know why the doctor prescribed you the omeprizol?
