I'm researching a good yogurt that has loads of good bacterial cultures. The delemna of course, is it needs to be low fodmap, lactose and gluten free. Does anyone have a suggestion or recommendation?

Thanks,

Val

There are quite a lot of yogurts out there to suit you. Just check out the supermarket shelves. However if you want a really good & suitable probiotic check out Symprove. It is a water based product & is lactose & gluten free & wonderful. It is expensive & you do really need to take it for at least 12 weeks but it is worth every penny in my book.

There's some very good scientific research on it too to back it up. I'm on my 4th week of taking it now & already feel MUCH better generally. Definitely worth looking at it but you can still have yogurts as well!!

I use the brand (Fage) Greek yogurt 0% NON fat ..and it is fine for me ..it is better than traditional yogurt because it's refined so many times to the degree of removing most lactose /sugars and milk traces .Inaddition, it is 0 % fat and has double the amount of protein 💪 than the regular yogurts. It has also more of the good bacteria for the gut ..so try to find it in your local market and i hope it works for you :)

Also ..some high end Frozen yogurt restaurants offer gluten / lactose free Greek yogurt which is the best choice for us in my opinion ( based on my case IBS /D )

There are many fruity flavors out there ..to be in the safe side just stick to the original Greek yogurt without any extra flavors ..Good luck 🤗

The best yoghurt type food for number and diversity of strains in homemade kefir. Very easy to make.

I have been using Lifeway kefir for 4-5 years now. Every other yogurt I could no longer tolerate. Lifeway (though it does have too much sugar by some standards) literally saved my life. I drink it twice daily.

Yeah, I would say kefir is the best choice as it is high in probiotics if you make you're own, or you can order it in online. Most shop bought youghurts are pasteurise so the good bacteria is killed before you even eat them, best to make your own x
