I have ms and suffer from chronic fatigue and constipation. Apartfrom this I am quite active and healthy. I take Laxido and Senna twice daily to help. I am seeing a dietician who suggests Fodmap. I will try this, as nothing else helps. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Chronic Constipation.

I like you am very healthy go to the gym most days and eat a diet high in veg and some fruit. Despite this I have Ibs c which has got worse as I have got older. It has been about 30 years. The best natural thing I now take is magnesium citrate or oxide capsules about 800 - 1000mg. Take it last thing at night with lots of water. I too have taken laxido and am now trying 3 times a day. But that alone doesn't help. Also taken senna every day is no good. I did that too and I got constant cramping.
Have you guys tried Aloe Vera? It will help for the constipation and it's packed with nutrients too. Many people with IBS find it beneficial as it restores and repairs the internal lining of the digestive system, making it less sensitive to triggering foods. As it is so rich it also helps with fatigue...(it did help me). If you are on medication you will still need to check with your GP. I am happy to direct you to the best brand, send me an email as I'm not regularly on this blog. akikomum@outlook.com. All the best! x
