Suffering sharp pains in left side of stomach. G.P diagnosed as IBS in 2005.

How's he come to that conclusion without even a Gastrologist view ,or a colononoscopy. GP can't diagnose anything without a test. Ask to see a Colectrecal specialist or a Gastrologist.

I had another test about 5 yrs ago to see if my bowels were working properly, I had to swallow 30 tiny white plastic pellets and go for an x-ray 2 days later to see how far along my bowels thay'd got, the doc said they were where he'd expect them to be at that stage! I have also had two endoscopies, but they didn't find anything wrong down that way! I've had stomach problems for years on and off!
