Where in the world are you? I'm not sure about answering. Not sure in the uk if IBS is an ailment you can get free prescriptions for.

ibe theres nothing really if your celiac with ibs you can apply for prescriptions for food for that (gluten free stuff). i checked it out due to my ibs and time off work etc.

Have you considered applying for PIP? Where i live there are specilist support services to help you complete the form at no cost or even CAB could assist.

I eventually had to stop work and was told there was nothing I could claim due to IBS and diverticular disease that I have,I had to depend on my husband, I class IBS as a disability but those in power did not.

Hi cassie17 OMG, it amazing that you can't claim for IBS and diverticulitis, I suffer the same and when you watch the TV ' benefits on the dole' it would appear that may thing can be claimed for. You can't see IBS or diverticulitis and cant claim. But you can't see or do a blood test for depression or fibromyalga,and people do claim. ALSO I think the CLAIMS department are well out of touch with a lot of disease's.we work pay in then can't claim when we need a bit if assistance. Buy a lotterty ticket!!!! good luck with things. X

thanks polly45,I know,we watch the benefits programs as well we shouldn't really its makes us angry,I have just started getting my pension so things should be ok now,but have struggled to manage fir 4 years,I couldn,t claim job seekers or anything because I only worked part time yet there were people there that had never worked and they could claim some could not even speak English really gets you mad.x
