Strange bladder pain.

Does anyone else get pain very low down, it feels like it is in the bladder, it is more of a very bad discomfort rather than pain, it is not a urinary infection and I can pee normally without any stinging or pain, another symptom I get is thatI constantly get a mild feeling I need to go even if I have just been.

I had identical symptoms. I had antibiotics, cystoscopy, prostate exam, blood tests. All negative. Eventually they settled on IBS.

Things started with a UTI and the antibiotics from this affected the gut bacteria.

Hi Nick,

You should see your doctor about this. It may just be part of IBS, but get it checked out - especially if you have lower back pain as well.

Hi there just wondering why you said if you have lower back pain it should be checked out ? Thanks x

in reply to

It can be a sign of prostate problems - not necessarily so, but a trip to the doc's would be a good idea.

Hi Nick, yes I get this , and luckily us girls can use balance HP which helps, my GP has said it could be down to IBS as the Bladder and bowel are so close, and the Bowel can put pressure on the Bladder. I would advise you check this out with your GP, just to rule out any other illnesses , like prostrate etc , not to scare you , but for peace of mind. Hope you get it sorted take care.

I don't have lower back pain or any of the classic prostrate problems ie never need to get up in the night and no flow problems, weak flow etc

Hi I a similar pain in my lower abdomen, I saw several doctors and finally a Urologist. She did a CT of the abdomen with contrast and found I had a kidney cyst. She said it quite common but may not cause pain. So do cause quite a bit of discomfort in the lower abdomen and right or left side of the abdomen. So talk with your doctor about getting a CT with contrast of the chest, abdomen and pelvic area. I also found out I had a problem with the disc in my back.
