Help.....still bloated...

Hello everyone. Wanted to say thank you tog everyone who has responded to my posts, I have read and looked into everything you have said, but nothing seems to quite fit what I have going on. To recap; I have been CONSTANTLY bloated for over 5 weeks. It is in my lower abdomen/pelvic region. I have attached a photo that i found on google that looks EXACTLY like my bloating and in the same exact location (mine may be slightly lower). My stomach gets so swollen, that I feel so uncomfortable after meals. But it is not just when I eat, I could go almost all day and not eat, and still be bloated. It DOES get worse when I eat though. I have already tried taking laxatives, which definitely emptied me out (I was using the bathroom all day) and my waist was TINY yet I was still bloated. I went to the ER about a week after bloating had started, they did a CT scan of my abdomen and pelvis. All they noted was possible ovarian cysts and that one may have ruptured but to correlate with my cycle. I was sent home with pain meds and Dx with ruptured ovarian cysts. I have also went to an OBGYN (which was a new DR that i haven't been too, very unprofessional and did a pelvic exam with out gloves on) and told me i was full of gas and that's why I was bloated and sent me home. I am getting extremely concerned because my bloating is still there, and hasnt improved not even for a day. It has really begun to affect my daily life. I do experience some pain/cramping and pressure in my lower abdomen, kind of similar to period cramps. I have had bouts were I have to apply pressure to empty my bladder.

Health history: I have regular periods. No chance of pregnancy. Negative urine sample for infection. (From ER visit) Normal CBC (from ER visit) I'm a 22 year old female, with Hx of ulcerative colitis and pancreatitis(both of which are under control) On oral contraceptives and have a child.

Any thoughts or guidance would be helpful. Really worrying about this.

I was the same. I note that you do not say if your bowels are regular or not but i would say that it is quite possible that you have IBS? As for the wind try charcoal tablets. Believe me they are a god send. They help get rid of any excess wind. Sorry that i cannot be more helpfull.

Tell me more about the Charcoal tablets.

Where from?

How often do you take them?

How many do you take?

Any side effects?

have you looked into the possibility of SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth)? The main symptom is bloating but I would have expected more correlation with eating than you have described.

Your bloating could be due to a multiple of different things.

I suffer from IBS & have food intolerance's & both of those things can cause bloating. I have to be really careful what I eat & drink! White bread makes me bloat terribly, so I avoid. Have you changed your diet recently?

What I do know from reading your post is that if you don't eat all day, you WILL be full of wind. Eating little & often is much better than not eating at all. Drink plenty of water - this is proven to help with digestion & constipation. It really does work. I have Peppermint Oil Capsules for my IBS, which do help to calm things down if I have a flare up. Your problem could also be linked to your hormones, so maybe the Doc could do some checks on your levels - only needs a blood test.

It is so frustrating when you've had multiple tests but the Doctors can pinpoint nothing! If your symptoms are not normal for you & they persist, then persevere with getting to the bottom of it. Sometimes it's a battle but you know your own body & if something doesn't feel right, then get it looked into.

Hoping you feel better soon...

this sounds like it could be two different things one would be a swollen uterus which you would take chaste tree and blue cohosh they will attack any ovarian cyst and bring the swelling down do not take them if you are pregnant the second would be a colon disorder to get rid of this problem you want to get ahold of some wormwood with black walnut take those to kill any parasites then do a cleanse 1 tablespoon vinegar apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon honey 1 tablespoon lemon juice a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon mix them with cold water shake them up and drink them like lemonade do this once every morning for a week.
