Bad taste in mouth (literal not figurative)

Does anyone get a bad taste in their mouth with their ibs. I am having symptoms later in the day I assume as a result of eating of slight nausea, stomach discomfort and bad taste in mouth. I saw somewhere that brushing your tongue as well as your teeth can help and this does seem to be true to a certain extent, although it doesn't go completely. It makes me feel very uncomfortable. Any suggestions. Sticking mainly to low fodmaps diet..

Have you been tested for helicobacter Annie?

Thank you for your suggestion. I had an endoscopy a few months ago which detected a small ulcer or incipient ulcer for which I took omeprazole for while then stopped. No helicobacter mentioned. Seeing gp soon should I ask him about it?

Hi Annie, I would ask GP for the test, if nothing else to rule this out. Another thought is candida but I would rule out helicobacter first.
