Diverticulitis pain?

The pain is no longer like spasms/contractions, but throbbing.

Is this still diverticulitis, or something else?

If you had diverticulitis and its healed you have diverticular disease of which never goes away . With diverticular disease its a matter of managing the condition through diet and lifestyle .

There will periods of calm with probably no abdominal pain etc but then you may get symptoms normally because of something you have eaten or stress.

So the goal is to manage your diet through trial and error and stresses this is no quick fix and will take some time the main thing is to maintain it so not to cause another attack.

Had constant pain since July. It was spasms/contraction like in nature, but now it just throbs. So I don't think it ever healed, and doc is now talking about surgery.

That seems to be an option if strong enough.

Sorry to hear you're having a rough time too. I feel for you too, this is a nightmare illness. I hope you recover quickly. Have you looked at alternative health solutions?

Hi Diverticulitis pain is normally a sharp and burning type of pain.

So if it's changed to throbbing, then it's something else?

I really couldnt advise you as i know it only causes sharp constant pain and not throbbing.

You should get a medical professional to investigate
