Lower right rib cage pain

Ive got this pain in my right lower rib , ive had it for sometime now and its getting to the point i cant breath because of the pain at first google said trapped wind but that was weeks ago my rib cage is swollen and it’s unbearable the pain any ideas of what this might be ?

You should see a doctor as soon as possible. This sounds pretty urgent. You may also want to consider going to an emergency room. We are not doctors, so cannot, in any way, diagnose your problem.

Hiya Hun I had the same problem a couple of years ago it might be your gallbladder... I would definitely make an appointment to see the doctor as b1b1b1 has suggested .. good luck

Was thinking the same as I also had gallstones and gallbladder surgery but there's not enough info and it also could be liver, colon, arteries etc , seems urgent and should see GP or even hospital emergency room.

As other replies have said, this sounds like gallbladder or pancreas or liver pain, but you need to see a doctor as soon as possible - it won’t go away on its own.

Could be Gallstones, I had the same . I am waiting to see consultant. Hope they are going to remove it pretty soon. I suffered with terrible indegestion whenever I ate anything. Pain was so bad in the night sometimes it felt like I was having a heart attack but on the wrong side of my chest. You need to go to doctors. I ended up in A&E they put me on a very low fat diet. No dairy, no red meat, not crisps, pastry or bread. Basically living on chicken and veg at moment. I have to say that lowfat diet has really helped but I have lost weight.
