HELP WITH REBOUND MIGRAINES AND COMING OFF TRIPTANS
I am at my wits end! I have been a migraine sufferer for over 40 years, I am 76 years old. Things are so bad now that I am in bed every day until about 4pm suffering from rebound migraines. I take Zomig (Zolmitriptan) and over the last 20 years they have just made things so much worse but if I don't

Increasing triptan strength
Has anyone who takes Zomig gone from 2.5 mg to 5mg to manage their attacks better? Just wondering as I have been taking 2.5 mg for years but lately more frequently and I’m wondering if going up to 5mg once I’ve checked with my Dr could help the rebound effect.

65 Year Zomig Limit
I am 67 this month so past Zomig’s 65 year recommended age limit. My Dr has dismissed the need to come off Zomig on age grounds. Fitness may be a factor but as my Mum died from a stroke I’m concerned. I don’t relish giving up Zomig, which has been a life changer. I think I’ve answered my own question

Alternative to Zomig required?
Hello, I’m 72 years old and have suffered migraines since my early twenties. I have tried many remedies over the years but found that Zomig was the most effective. But because it isn’t recommended for over 65 year olds (constricts blood vessels) my GP recently prescribed Bisoprolol (beta blocker).

Does anyone know why you can't take Imigran/Sumatriptan while pregnant in the UK?
Hello, Im currently almost 11 weeks pregnant and I've just had 8 days of migraine followed by a day off, then another migraine, then a day off and now a migraine again. I'm worn out. I've had two miscarriages in the past year and I have a 3 year old. I know that in the States and in some other countries

Migraines
I'm having a really bad run of migraines at the moment, they have always been a problem but they have been worse lately. I feel like I'm never really free of them. I can't think of anything that has changed, that could be causing them. I've suffered all my life, but my rheumatologist believes that they

RIBOFLAVIN 400mg
I've recently been advised by my NHS headache specialist nurse to try Riboflavin at dose of 400mg per day. Despite having had migraines and other headaches for 45 years I'd never heard of this as a preventative treatment but I thought I'd give it a try as I've tried everything else without any success

9 months since last Zomig
I have gone from taking 20+ Zomig a month in several years up to and including 2014 to taking 5 or 6 a month while I was having chemotherapy for recurred ovarian cancer (early 2015), to taking none at all since my last 2.5mg tablet on 25 June 2015. I've felt tempted when the pain has been severe and

Low carb diet seems to have helped me
I have suffered for years with migraines that started mildly then a few years ago got very severe where nothing worked and i was at my witts end. Its true about how low you can get with living with migraine. I would have happily taken the place of anyone being beheaded as i just wanted the pain to stop

MIGRAINE
I have suffered from chronic migraines for 40 years and things have got worse over the years. I use Zolmitriptan (zomig) but they give me a rebound migraine so I'm basically on a treadmill of having a migraine, taking a zomig and then getting a rebound. I used to try to break the cycle by using MIGRIL

SPRINGTMS 2
I thought it was high time I updated my previous post. I originally typed the text below as a reply to my original post but it hasn't updated the status from one month ago. Basically, my experience with the machine was not a positive one and in fact I just had to stop using it after less than a month

I don't think I've seen anything about this magnetic therapy for migraine on this site. Has anyone used it? If not, it's basically a magnetic charge delivered to the back of the head using a (very heavy) but portable machine. (If you're interested, there is info on it on the Internet). I'd had Botox

Neck pain burning sensation
I recently have had chronic migraines but now out the blue have neck pain left and shoulder left and burning on right side! No idea why this is happening all of a sudden but it's making my headaches worse. I've seen neurologist and they say it's nothing to do with my migraines as I have suffered for

I'm taking 70mg nortriptyline daily and sumatriptan when I have an attack, but the sumatriptan has started to not work after a few hours.
I'm feeling really scared because due to being told I had over used zomig and codeine ( although I hadn't been told about overuse) I spent a year from oct 2012 to oct 2013 not being able to take anything, under the instruction of my neurologist. My headaches did decrease from 24 days of the month to
