Zoladex

I tried some other birth control pills which didn't work, I had zoladex which did help but I couldn't take it for too long because of other side effects.. typical!

Hi, I was diagnosed with endo in 2005, had various surgeries to fix and a 6-month round of zoladex. I'm now having to have a full hysterectomy due to endo and other gyne issues. Also may end up with a second surgery due to the belief that my uterus is also plastered to my bowel.

I don't know if this is a result of the endometriosis or the Zoladex? Or maybe the add back? Please can anyone give me any advice at all here?

I'm currently on Zoladex and I'm in my 7th week, I did have a UTI last month but that was usual symptoms of a UTI of burning when passing urine and treated with antibiotics.

Due to receive Zoladex and HRT, but feeling uncomfortable with this. I really hoped that a laparoscopy would sort me out. I was mentally prepared for this. I'm really worried about the Zoladex and HRT, and how it will make me feel.

I was really hopeful for having some prostap as I've previously had zoladex but due to some issues following child birth 5 months ago I've been told this may make those problems worse.

To help control this the gyne put me on zoladex for 3 months. Once the 3 months were complete the gyne refered me back to my GP who have now subscribed me microgynon 30 ED. firstly I'm wondering how long it will take for me to get my period as its been over 2 months since my last injection?

I am 4 months into a 6 month course of zoladex. I want to know if I should be asking for a referral to a BSGE centre and if so is this likely to delay my care? Am I better off staying where I am to get treated promptly? Thanks.

I've had 3 zoladex injections before I see my consultant in 2 weeks time for a follow up. I haven't seen anyone yet to discuss the operation apart from the nurse for the injections!

After my surgery i was on zoladex for 6 months along with contraceptive tablets during which i had no periods ( i was asked to avoid sugar pills to stop periods). After 6 months on zoladex my doctor has advised to continue on pills and not have periods at all for the next 6 months.

I'm wondering if it's the pain or the withdrawal from zoladex?! xxx

I've had 3 months of zoladex, which whilst come with hideous side effects, brought the pain down though did not completely get rid of. The consultant started with we will put you back on zoladex and that will be that.

Does any own have any suggestions on what I can take to reduce the fibroid growth, my doc suggested Zoladex but its pretty pricey and offers only short term relief.

Hi I have had a letter from my hospital who say it's fine to have my zoladex injection 8 weeks late!!!! Surely not surely my body would start going back to normal and I'll be in more pain??!!!

On week 6 of zoladex and the pain has been horrific. Iv took pain killers every 4 hours constantly for 6 weeks. Dr just changed my pain killers so I don't get addicted to codeine but it's not touching it.

I've had to have zoladex implant to switch off my ovary. But now I'm panicking about the blood thinner I'm on, I did ask the gynocologist & pharmacist who said it was ok. But I don't know. Does any body else take the two of them together?? Thanks in advance x

I was commenced on zoladex I have my sixth one tomorrow. I have not seen my consultant since December. Last week I was all ready to attend my hospital appointment to see my consultant, I was ready to tell her about my constant bone pain, my feet and heals are so painful especially when I walk.

From the outset she wanted to give me zoladex injections to stop ovulation, rather then investigate why I get so much pain during ovulation and seemed to ignore all the symptoms I told her I had.

less was immediately put on casodex and zoladex and three months later 36 rounds IGRT. Remained on zoladex till Feb 2015. PSA had been bouncing between <0.01 and 0.05 Stopped zoladex 18 months ago testosterone was 10. Had my blood work done last week......drumrollllll..
