Zoladex

Prostatectomy 2015, Gleason 4 + 3. 31 external radiation tx, ADT (Zoladex) 2015-17, post nadir Oct 2017 rising PSA until Jan 2022. Degarelix for 8 months. Two months after end of Degarelix PSA rising rapidly (doubling time 5 weeks). Started ADT (Zoladex) Feb 2023.

Since been on Zoladex it's been a downward spiral, I feel as though I haven't gone one week without feeling alright. Here is what I have felt.

Just wondering if it could be the Zoladex \HRT I’m on. I’m only on half a patch of the HRT due to bleeding on it and wondering if low oestrogen could be causing it? Or does that sound a bit crazy?

so now I have osteoporosis after RT and 18 months of zoladex for localised high risk G9. I didn’t start bisphosphonate until 4-5 months into hormone therapy- me but being on the ball and medics not mentioning it - odd as already had polio after effects so I was likely already low BMD. Anyway….

She also talked about trying Zoladex and its side effects being similar to menopause. My point is this. Why do they get to treat me and other women like this?

Hi, I have just started a 3month trial of Zoladex implant / injection and daily Tiblone. I was wondering if anyone else has tried this? I have been given a clearance of stage 3 and 4 endo but they are not sure if I have stage 1 or 2.

On Zoladex until it quits, then onto BAT. Life is good. My ONC was a bit concerned about getting back into skiing seven years ago. It has worked out fine. Love to all of youse!

Testosterone 0.03 January 2023 with psa of 83 ( this was on a watch and wait process l was started on Zoladex again but after reaching 7.0 psa started rising again, Testosterone 0.02 after 6 months.

I'm about to try zoladex to see how it goes and they want me to do that before my op. Has anyone had experience of this? Either one or both ovaries removed and how it affected them?

My husband finished his chemo April 18th as part of his triple therapy and continues on his 3 month Zoladex injections and Nubeqa daily. He is trying the patches at the suggestion of Urologist for bones and hot flushes but not able to get further help with regards to where to go from here ?

I had my stage4 endometriosis removed in march 2023 and was placed on zoladex for 6 months after. Completed my zoladex and went for IVF. We tested positive last week with 2 embryo transfer and this is our 3rd week in the pregnancy.

hi has anyone gone private for zoladex in London? I’m trying to find a clinic/dr but struggling. My GP refuses without gyno and the referral for them on the NHS is so long. Any recommendations for individuals welcomed please, thanks.

I am still only receiving Zoladex injections every three months. I did try Abiraterone 2022/2023 and it failed after a few months. I have been trying to get my Oncologist to prescribe Enzalutamide.

For 2+ years have been taking Zoladex, Zytiga and Prednisolone. The CT bone scans and Nuclear medicine full body scans every 6 months show no radiographic progression and I feel ok, apart from fatigue when not active. Recently have some discomfort in left hip when climbing stairs.

In November I was put on Zoladex injections with Tibilone HRT tablets, this helped the pain a lot and reduced it to a few times within the 3 month period of being on it. Now the last 2 weeks the pain has returned with a vengeance.

Hi everyone, I had a gynecologist offer me Tibolone HRT tablets alongside 3 injections of Zoladex into the abdominal wall 4x weekly. Looking these medications up I've seen a ton of side effects like most meds.

Only while being on Zoladex and coming to this forum I started to learn and I am still trying to learn as much as I can so I can advocate for myself more.
