Zoladex

I’m currently taking Xtandi and Zoladex will add 6 treatments of Xofigo starting this week. I appreciate your thoughts. I only have Mets in the bones, but a lot of them. PSA has remained around the .4 to .5 range for the last 6 months It is a blessing to be able to share on this site.

2.5 weeks later had MRI, ovary now 3cm, Zoladex initiated... (MARCH) Still no better self medicated. Pain and impactions got worse.... Private ultrasound yesterday! Left ovary now measuring 26.53mm and calcified.. so I’ve lost 03.5mm of ovarian size in 2months Anyone know what’s going on!

Hi all, Just wondering for those that have had Zoladex, how long was it until you started experiencing side effects. I only had my first one just over a week ago, but I swear I’m starting with hot flushes and sweats, along with headaches.

So long story short, 2017 diagnosed, 2019 1st lap excision, zoladex until September last year. Currently taking Amytriptyline, mefanamicacid, transexamic acid, buscopan to help me. Oh and coil put back in again last month. Waiting for hysterectomy, yay 😢.

No idea what you’re supposed to do when no one is willing to help, so I’m collecting actual evidence now, that I have just been fobbed off, cuz I’ve had a course of antibiotics and 3 shots of Zoladex, I’m obviously ‘cured’. It’s Sunday afternoon! I’ll keep you posted!

I have been on ADT injections (Zoladex) for 3 years with bicalutamide added for the last 6 months (PSA was rising very slowly and was approaching 1.0 in January). Current PSA is 0.08. Testosterone is <0.2 nmol/L. Latest bone scan says that my few bone mets are no longer visible.

I found out a few weeks ago, I'm guessing it happened In Feb because my local doctor was treating me muscular back problems first even though I said I didn't think it was plus I enformed them of my radiotherapy & Zoladex. 🤔

I was on Zoladex for three months in 2017 and I had a private gynaecology appointment recently and the consultant said that I need to have Zoladex again for four months.

Has anyone had long lasting side effects after long down regulation to prepare for fet with endometriosis (ie 3 months lupron /zoladex /synarel etc)

I am on Letrozole, monthly zoladex and 3 weeks on and 2 off with Ibrance. This has been since August 2017. Some days I feel like have so much energy and others no energy at all. Does anyone else feel like this?

I was put onto Zoladex and just left to get on with it, until they could be arsed to deal with it! Great! Zoladex is a chemical menopause.

Has anyone had lasting side effects with down regulation for this amount of time (ie zoladex/lupron/synarel)

Hello everyone, I got diagnosed with breast cancer (ER+(50%), PR+(10%), Her2-) in Nov 2016 - I got radical mastectomy. Without further treatment i got the first metastasis in March 2017 - on the spine. I got Femara / letrozole and was on it until 2019 May before it progressed and I got a couple of metastasis

Good day to all, my father is under zoladex and we just had spaghetti that has a generous amount of pure olive oil, not the extra virgin one, so it just made me curious if this could be bad or could it be good? Thanks a lot

In the meantime my surgeon has suggested I try zoladex injections. He’s told me to do some research and get back to him. Has anyone tried this route and if so I’d be grateful to hear your opinions and experiences please. Thanks everyone. Pip x

It’s really starting to get me down now, I’m worried as my consultant has said that cerazette is really my last option (I’ve tried the coil and zoladex injection but both didn’t work for me). I’d be grateful for any help/advice x x

My dad was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer in may 18 with gleason score 9 and psa 88 He was on zoladex for 9 month with psa dropped from 88 to 2 and start to climb again until 8 Psma shows stable disease He added xtandi Worked pretty good for year and half Them psa started to rise again

Okay so I’ve been on zoladex for two years awaiting a hysterectomy but due to covid the waiting list is so long they have taken me off the zoladex as the gynae doesn’t want me on it any more. So I had a Mirena fitted a week ago with the hope it will keep my periods away.

I was on Zoladex as well. Many different types of pain and swelling. I tried IVF at 39 but failed. My immune system is crap, allergic to all sorts of things, digestive issues, bowel emptying issues, bladder infections. I worked hard, slept most of the time. Coped like a robot!
