Zoladex side effects

Hi all,

Just wondering for those that have had Zoladex, how long was it until you started experiencing side effects. I only had my first one just over a week ago, but I swear I’m starting with hot flushes and sweats, along with headaches. Just curious as to what everyone else’s experiences were and it’s not just all in my head!

HiI'm also on zoladex injections as well but my consultant also prescribed me tibolone HRT to suppress the side effects. Might be worth asking if you can have HRT to counteract the side effects.

Hi, thanks for your reply! He said he will be prescribing me some HRT, but wouldn’t do it until the second month, so currently just waiting until then. Fingers crossed it helps x

Hi, sorry to hear you're having issues with Zoladex. I was prescribed it last year but had the worst side effects hot sweats, extreme migraines, I ended up in A&E so my consultant decided I shouldn't continue with it. It's definitely not in your head! Speak to your GP/Consultant to see if there are other options available.

Hot flushes were my first side effects, and these kicked in about 2 weeks after my first injection. Everything else (mood swings, migraines etc.) came later on, after my second injection
