Second opinion with well known bc onc
As soon as
Xgeva
was approved by FDA, I switched to it from the Zometa. When I started on Faslodex, the usual dose was just half what it is now, and when the larger dose became FDA approved, I was given the larger dose and quickly became NED for several months but under two years.

Rapid PSA decrease?
I was diagnosed Stage IV PC January 2019, and started Casodex + Lupron + Zytiga +
Xgeva
+ Prednisone. My PSA was 111 on 1/15/19, 65 on 3/15/19, and 4.6 on 4/10/19. Is that change typical for someone after 3 months od ADT? Does it mean much of anything?

My question is, my husband stopped
Xgeva
injection for a month and now on its 2nd month without
Xgeva
. He has been on
Xgeva
for 7months prior. Should I be worried that his bones doesnt have any protection for the past 1-2months considering he has lots of bone mets?

He was also given
xgeva
shots. October of 2018, the treatments stopped working, he started taking xtandi, his Ps a was still going up, did more scans. Cancer spread much more. He just received his first shot of xofigo. He is still losing weight and has no energy.

Most likely positive for genetic mutation and AR-V7
Currently on zytiga, dexa,
xgeva
, eligard. Soon to start with docetaxel 6 cycles. The MO here said he is most likely certain that my husband (Dondee) will come out positive for genetic mutation (BRCA2) due to his young age at diagnosis and early failure on zytiga (7months).

Rising psa
Casodex 18 months now xtandi, eligard, and
xgeva
for over 18 months. His PSA went to <.01 almost immediately but now for the last 6 months has risen by .1 each month. It is now .7. The MO doesn’t seem to be concerned and said we would address it if it gets to 2.

Xgeva
After hearing some stories on another group, I’m afraid to start my
Xgeva
treatment. My dentist said it should be fine but I just don’t know. Has anyone had this problem?

13 Months went well...
My first and only line of treatments thus far are: Zytiga,Prednisone, six month Eligard, and monthly
Xgeva
for bone Mets. Probably Provenge in the near future but Doc says I'm responding so well let's just stay the course for now. I hope you all have a fantastic Summer and remember.

BIRM (7X) Concentrate...still feeling pretty good!
The
Xgeva
IS giving me some crazy (not long lasting) feelings of bone pain. Kind of like a bruise in the ribs. It usually only lasts a few minutes and then passes. Doing my best to remember everyday to "Be Thankful" as I have it embroidered and framed by my sister and just at my bedside.

Had my

jaw issues xgeva / zometa
Went to the oral surgeon 7/2017 and it turned out I had cracked my left back top tooth in half (probably the 1st night of
Xgeva
due to clenching my teeth). The oral surgeon wouldn't pull it because of the zometa/
Xgeva
, so I had a root canal and he cut the tooth below the gum line.

New To Group / First CT
I was put on Letrozole, Ibrance 125, and have a monthly
Xgeva
injection. So far I am tolerating the medication and had my first CT scan this morning. I know that there isn’t a cure, but I’m hopeful that the treatment will keep my disease in check.

I’m just about to have my first bone strengthening injection and have just read the side effects. Now I am terrified. Have to leave in 1hr. Has anyone had a bad reaction to it? Do I really need it?

Metastatic prostate to bones, bladder and liver. Stage 4 and Gleason score 10
Started using Lupron,
Xgeva
, zytiga & Xtandi and tactotere. Nothing has worked and now he has completed 10 rounds of radiation. Also started Jevtana and developed severe diarrhea which required hospitalization. We discovered the progression to liver with multiple lesions.
