My situation summary

Learned of my PC through an odd sequence of events: Late 2018, I mentioned to my neurologist that my L index finger was a bit numb, and she ordered a neck MRI (overkill for such a small issue, I thought). 1/11/19 MRI indicated metastatic tumor on C6 & C7 (neck bones), so off to the oncologist and other diagnostics. CT and bone scan confirmed PC and neck bone met, but found no other mets. Biopsy/pathology showed two samples with Gleason = 4+4. PSA = 111. So starting 3/15/19, I'm on Casodex, Lupron, Zytiga($$), Xgeva, and Prednisone.

Greetings, from the index finger to the middle finger.... Now starts the stuff... Weight gain, muscle loss, growing breasts, hot flashes, mood swings, memory loss, other than that no problem.... Tell us more about you (all voluntary). Age, location, treatment center, doctor's names. If you'll answer do it in a future post (not today and not to me). This info helps us help you and helps us too. Thanks.

P.S. Is that first gear or second gear (hopefully reversible)?

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

You give new meaning to what I call the "fickle finger" phenomenon. With a DRE, the doctor owns the fickle finger. Seems like your own fickle finger led to the diagnosis. Good luck with your treatments.

Discuss Xofigo- some oncologists Ive talked to think it's OK to add to Zytiga as long as you're on Xgeva.
