13 Months went well...

Good morning Brothers' I had my 13 month exam and Doc says he couldn't be happier with my results. All of my numbers are good, scans show significant improvement to Mets, lymph nodes and surrounding areas.

We spoke for quite awhile about different drugs and therapies on the horizon. Doc says some really promising things are in the works and it really made my day. All in all it was a very positive visit to say the least.

For those of you that don't know me to well my diognoses was as follows:

02/18 Advanced Prostate Cancer Gleason 7, 8,9, across the board , multiple Mets and two lymph nodes invaded. My first and only line of treatments thus far are:

Zytiga,Prednisone, six month Eligard, and monthly Xgeva for bone Mets. Probably Provenge in the near future but Doc says I'm responding so well let's just stay the course for now. I hope you all have a fantastic Summer and remember. Never give up never surrender. Leo

My insurance and Medicare cover all but about $500.00 to $1000.00 monthly according to what tier I'm in catastrophic wise now it's down to $200.00 because I'm on the generic. I also have a health care case worker assigned to me from my Doctors staff that helps me acquire grants as they become available. I couldn't be more pleased with my Doctor and his staff they treat me like family and Doc told me never worry about the money he told me I will never leave his office without being treated they will work out the money end.

Zytiga has already FAILED for me. In about 30 days, my PSA has shot up from 11.3 to 13.5 to 16.33. A rise of 44.5%.

Now, my last roll of the dice : Lu-177.

Lets see what's in store. Remission or death ??

Cheers !!!

The drugs/treatments react differently with each individual.

What works for leo2634 may or may not work for others.

This is very true. The key is my treatment was not of choice I trust in my Doctor 100 % he is truley a compassionate professional with my health and the health of his patients first and foremost. I had no idea that my life would take such a drastic change in just a year but it did and I'm so grateful for this man's dedication to me. I wish all the best and will pray for you as I do for all the Brothers on our forum. Leo
