I was having infliximab infusions but for some reason this has exacerbated my condition and doctors have now decided to try me in Xeljanz. does anyone have any experience of this?

I have been taking this drug two times and the first time I had to discontinue it because it gave the worst flu ever because it lowers the immune system. I’m worried about this second time because it is giving me hard heartburn and it is a fairly new drug, so I’m curious to hear if anyone else has taken

I tried Xeljanz 4 years ago and did not have good results. My rheumatologist took me off leflunomide and Humira then started me on Xeljanz. I wonder if I would of taken Xeljanz with leflunomide if it would of been more effective?

I just hope I don't start getting horrible side effects a couple of weeks in like I did with Xeljanz. I tried Simponi for 6 months which did not help much.

Previous to the Simponi, I had no meds other than ibuprofen for a month, and previous to that, 3 months on Xeljanz, which I quit when I could no longer stand the side effects.

I am good with that because I did try Xeljanz, another JAK inhibitor, last year for 3 months, but had to stop due to side effects. My hopes are up. I hope it works out.

I'm seriously considering stopping my Xeljanz in case it's a side effect as it's one I just don't want to accept. Also, due to Covid nobody has actually looked at my mouth or examined me.
