I've been on 75 mcg levothyroxine since 23 August 2023. I've taken levothyroxine since January 2023. Is this the correct dosage now? I've never had any of the conventional hypothyroid symptoms, except for extreme anxiety and disregulated nervous system, gut issues and tinnitus. On the 75mcg I feel

Levo at night? What levels do people aim for. (Not satisfactory level as quoted by my GP)
Hi everyone, just wondering what the pro and con of taking levothyroxine at night? Also at what level do people start "feeling normal" (I use the term loosely). I felt a lot better in Nov last year. Levels were satisfactory. I have now found out they are only just satisfactory at 4.70 something. Just

Doctors visit post blood tests
Hi. I have just been to the doctor's to discuss the blood results I recently posted on here. I'm getting celiac test done and he has put me on vitamin D. He said to take a multivitamin to improve my folate level. He thinks my symptoms are down to taking too much levothyroxine, he said I should reduce

Hello everyone, Looking for advice I can have with my GP or Endo the next time I have an appointment, as I am getting nowhere and very slowly. Briefly - I started with symptoms in 2020-2021 and visit the Dr suggesting it was my thyroid. Initially (over the phone) they said probably menopause or stress

Can anyone explain how TSH can go from undectable to 7.14 in two weeks?
I finally got an endocrinologist to see me, and she was adamant that I quit taking T3. The lab test at that visit had TSH <.02 (undetectable). I put my trust in her and stopped the T3 and continued 50 mcg levo/ day. After 2 weeks I went in for another test for TSH and T4. T4 was 0.4 and TSH was 7.14

DI02 Test advice please
Following a really useful twitter thread about the Deiodinase 2 gene and its effects on response to levothyroxine, I have ordered and received a saliva test for DIO2 but need to loop in a medical practitioner to receive the results. I have an appointment with my GP this week to discuss blood test results

New results - TSH up despite levo
Hi, I have been taking 25mcgs levothyroxine for 6 and a half weeks now and my previous results from 24th November 2023 were: TSH 4.18 (0.27-4.2) T4 12.7 (12-22) My latest results are TSH 4.36 (0.27-4.2) T4 14.1 (12-22) So my TSH has gone up - which seems strange. I did try taking 50mcgs for a few

Levothyroxine and B12 possible interactions
I have been taking Levothyroxine for many years and believe that the symptoms I experience for both too much or too little Levothyroxine are identical. When I experience an increased pulse rate that can be because of either too much of too little Levothyroxine but keeping my dose fixed this problem is

Private blood test
I've been on levo 75mg for about 5yrs. Dr wouldn't increase because TSH was low and diabetes endo wouldn't look at my thyroid issues. After a private blood test last year I mentioned t3 to him as mine is low. He said we don't trust private bloods. Can't give t3 but you can see a private endo who will

Hashi symptoms still or tired/dry eyes?
Hey everyone, Still on my journey to "optimal" health and lab's whilst having Hashimoto's. Diagnosed 18 month ago. I have a strange one for you, or, not so strange, right now I'm not sure. So, currently on 162.5mcg of Levo and 10 mcg of Lio. I would say symptom wise I am feeling the best I have in

First test results after adding T3 - I’m confused!
Hi everyone, I’d really appreciate your help with my latest results and welcome ideas for suggested next steps. Just a reminder, I currently self-treat. In October I posted the following results (Randox) whilst on 62.5mcg of Levo (Eutirox): TSH 1.44 (0.35-5.5) FT4 18.2 (11.9-21.6) FT3 3.96 (3.1
