Debate on T3 between Prof Bianco & Prof Pearce
These 2 well-known endos had a formal 'debate' recently at the Endo 2024 conference in Boston. Prof Bianco was 'for' the use of T3 in combination therapy, and Prof Pearce was 'against' it. We know that these are their personal stances anyway, even when not in a formal debate setting. Prof Bianco '

How do you feel with low FT4 even when FT3 seems optimal?
Hey everyone, About 8 weeks ago I have split my dose of Armour and T3, which I believe made me more hypo. My pulse has dropped, I'm can't get out of bed in the morning until 11 am or later, I'm bloated, dizzy at times, my body is in pain, I now get headaches and my neck is swollen. I did bloods at

T3- Tiromel - why is my hair shedding/falling out?
Hi, I have recently found a safe source of t3. The brand is Tiromel 25mg. I have been struggling on t4 alone for many years now but doctor/endo won't help me as my labs appear OK to them. However I have had symptoms of weight gain, struggling to loose weight no matter what I do, joint and bad muscle

How much time after changing dose of T3?
Hi everybody, I'm on T3 only and don't know if I'm over- or underdosed. I've tried lowering my dose in the past but I didn't have the impression it agreed with me. But I never waited for more than a 3, 4 days. Someone now told me I should maybe try upping my dose and I'm willing to give that a try

Re Blood tests
I am under the care of nuclear team as having RAI treatment after papillary cancer n Thyroidectomy. I read various posts here and am now mystified and concerned. The nuclear team and thyroid oncologist made it 100% clear , that prior to ANY blood tests, if one is taking thyroxine, it is ESSENTIAL to

Miscarriage or tissue?
This was from 2019, but my daughter was a little over a year old and I had really bad cramping. I went to the bathroom and just wiped and got this. I didn't have a test or anything, but I keep getting told different things. I've been looking for answers this whole time. A few days later I had my OB appointment

What could be causing weight gain when bloods are optimum?
Hi all, I'd really like to get some advice re my results. I have been on a long journey (26 years) and never been able to tolerate thyroxine. After investigation it was discovered my reverse T3 was high and likely caused by me having the DIO2 variant. About three years ago I went private and absolutely

Any one having issues with the above? I was with lloyds which has now been taken over by the above, after nearly 4 weeks I still haven’t received my prescription. Several emails have now been exchanged, today’s email just says the only thing they can get is Teva. Want to guess the one thing I can’t take

Wondering if iron dose age should vary depending on weight please?
Hi I usually take Ferrous fumerate to help with iron levels. I’m wondering if this should vary depending on weight please as when I was ordering Three Arrows which is on its way, it asks for weight to work out a daily dose. Mine came to needing between 20 and 40ish a day. I’ve been & until it arrives

Optimal serum ferritin level
Can some of you wonderful people tell me what is the optimal serum ferritin level. Mine has been dropping. It is now 57 ug/l (13 - 300). I feel tired all the time plus brain fog that is the worst it has ever been. Thyroid numbers are not right but GP refuses to do anything as she says I'm normal.

Hi, is there any reliable source where to order T3 medication. My t4 was high in last results but T3 not optimal. I am not losing weight at all and wondering if it could be my T3.

anemia but digestive issues (diarrhea)/multivitamins
Good evening everyone, I´m writing on behalf of my sister who is lactating now on her second year and has been suffering from diarrhea for the last two months. She has always had a tendency to it, but it seems to be aggravated. She is taking iron(liposmated) with vit C(ascorbic acid) because she has

News we've all been waiting for!
Ralph's had the most amazing few days. On Tuesday he had the swallow x-ray and the speech therapist was amazed at the results. Firstly he gave him some sour tasting stuff, which Ralph insisted he tried to see how horrible it was, lol. Then he had barium mixed with water, then barium with yoghurt then

What are the best intervals to increase T3 doses.
I started T3 only treatment of 2.5mcg on 17/4/24 Then increased to 5mcg after 16 days. Then increased to 7.5mcg after 21 days. I have been on 7.5mcg for 27 days now. I take 2.5mcg at 09.00, 2.5mcg at 13.00 and 2.5mcg at 21.00. I am having a reasonable improvement without bad side effects and feel

Saw Dr Klein at the Cambridge blood clinic.
So I finally saw Dr Klein, He says 100% I have pernicious anaemia and it’s quite bad. I have to inject ever other day for a year. Apparently my folate and ferritin is good. My vitamin D is also a tad low. My bladder issue could be to do with the Anaemia. Likewise it could be reversing out. He seemed
