Can some of you wonderful people tell me what is the optimal serum ferritin level.
Mine has been dropping. It is now 57 ug/l (13 - 300).
I feel tired all the time plus brain fog that is the worst it has ever been. Thyroid numbers are not right but GP refuses to do anything as she says I'm normal. I can't afford to go private.
TS H is 3.4 (0.3-4.2)
T4 is 20.3 (12-22)
Thinking if Ferritin isn't right maybe that could be why I feel blah.
Thanks in advance.

Not sure what that is on these results, but everything including Haemoglobin and red blood cell are all on the higher part of the ranges but the Ferritin is on the lower side.
My results also say SLIGHT HAEMOLYSIS aswell whatever that means. Maybe there was some problem with the blood.
With TSH that high with a good level of fT4 suggests your conversion is poor meaning low levels of fT3 (the more active bit) worth requesting a referral to Endo but also asking for a full iron panel
'slight haemolysis' means the sample had deteriorated
The Endo in this area is useless too so there is absolutely no point in asking. A neighbour has the same issues and has to buy her own T3. I am in no financial position to do that, so I will just have to battle on the way I am. Our wonderful NHS???
