Low ferritin
I was diagnosed with PV in November 2020. Initially, I had a few phlebotomies to reduce my hematocrit but thankfully I've passed my last three blood tests and haven't had one since January 2023. I take aspirin, a spoonful of cod liver oil and half a tin of grapefruit every day to keep my haematocrit

DIO2 testing
Morning All Does anyone know of any labs/companies that test for the DIO2 gene other than Blue Horizon? They don’t actually say they test for it. This is from their description : ‘Conversion of T4 to T3, The clearing of RT3 from circulation’. I might be too picky with the interpretation, however

T3-only/ iodine levels
Can someone please explain the impact that taking T3-only medication might have on iodine levels given that deiodination is no longer involved in T4 to T3 conversion? Thank you!

Once a day T3ers only
Do you still do your blood tests in the same way as those on divided doses or T4? I can't think of any better way unless someone has any ideas? I am taking all my T3 on waking so got earliest appointment I could ( testing other stuff too so can't do my own finger prick test) and that is 10am Mon, sadly

Hello, I have had RLS of steadily increasing worsity for over fifty years. For the last twenty I have been taking increasing doses of Ropinirole, and for the last ten have been on 4mg a day with great success except of course for never sitting still for long, never travelling far in a car, NEVER going

Diagnosed with orthostatic hypotension, weeks after PVI
Hello, I had the pvi ablation some 3 weeks ago. Had dizzyness after standing up for 2-3 years i believe (feel like going on 2mad diet routine helped it), but didnt have lower blood pressure on record. Usually it was always 120/60 or 120/70. I thought that the dizzyness was maybe from the heart not working

TEVA brand thyroxine changed
I’ve been on TEVA brand levothyroxine for 10 years. I believe it’s been discontinued. My pharmacy has stopped stocking it and gave me Accord brand. I’ve been on it for 2 months and feel awful. I’ve read that brand switching can do this. What can I do??

Over medicating
I've recently had some help from the great people on here regarding my thyroid problems, which I am super thankful for but I think I need more. I've mentioned previously the horrible anxiety/restlessness/claustrophobia type symptoms I've had for a few weeks now and recently had a private blood draw to

Why has my ferritin risen so quickly!?
So I got my yearly iron panel check, and my ferritin had dropped to 42! even though I eat iron rich foods and take vitamin C with meals! Reverse T3
If I am taking T3 (Liothyronine) every day, would a Reverse T3 lab test give me any reliable information? Thank you in advance for your answers.
