Can Armour cause depression?
Hi and looking for advice. I have been taking Armour for just over two weeks having previously been on 100 mg of levothyroxine daily. I was so excited to be prescribed Armour as my T3 levels always fell below range and I had fatigue and joint pain when on levo. Already I think the joint pain is improving

Antibiotic therapy. Now I have severe insomnia
On February 25th, 2024 I must have injured my gum and I got a tooth/gum infection which was treated first unsuccessfully with amoxicillin, then successfully with cephalexin for 7 days (Mar 3rd - Mar 10th, 2024). The night that I finished the cephalexin I had difficulty sleeping (5 hr 51min). Each night

Hi, I am taking .100T4 and 4.5 T3 in a.m. I take 4.5 T3 at noon and again at mid-afternoon. I have severe osteoporosis--Tscore -4.1. I am having a very hard time fitting in calcium (two 500mg doses), iron, and magnesium, all of which I need and have to be taken apart from each other. I also take

When to take my T3
Is it ok to take T3 first thing in the morning at the same time as other meds. I take statins and BP meds in the morning and my Levo at night. Or should I just take it at night with my Levo.

TSAT low, ferretin high
Dear fellow sufferers in RLS hell. My sleep medicine doctor suggested an iron infusion because my TSAT is 28,87% while my ferretin is 145,40ng/ml. I was taking iron supplement for 6 months before the test. I am not very knowledgeable about the difference between TSAT and ferritin. How high are

Following on from a couple of people's suggestions from a previous post I have tested my thyroid hormone levels sooner than planned as I did a fast T3 protocol. I am on 50 mcg of T4 and 31.25 mcg of T3. I have been on 31.25 mcg for 3 weeks. I take T3 x3 per day (12.5mcg, 12.5mcg, 6.25mcg). Here are

Help with dose and testing please
I’m arranging tests ahead of an endocrinology appointment but realise I’m not sure how to adjust / time my T3 dose ahead of this. I take my 40mcg T3 in a single dose at around 9:30-10pm. I’ve tried breaking the dose down but always feel slightly undermedicated. Seems for me at least the saturating

PSMA Analysis needed
I'm awaiting the visual images from my PSMA FDG scan. In the meantime, I've got a written report and I could do with your help. The backdrop is that I'm hoping to be considered eligible for PSMA therapy in Melbourne in May-Aug. At the heart of it lies a really simple question (and apologies for my naivety

T3 starting dose.
I appear to be a poor converter of t4 to t3. I had my first private endo appt today and have a private prescription for Liothyronine.T3. I have been given 3 months at 10mg daily. Is this a good starting dose. Just wondering whether to try 5mg daily first to see if it has the desired effect. Also going

What and Why? Change of Brand??
Hi All, I have just had my most recent bloods back and they are a little confusing if I am honest! I am taking 200mcg Levo and 25mcg Lio. I had to change brand in November and didn't feel any ill effects from the change over. Can a change in brand really cause that much of a hike? I have been

Heart Arrhythmia
Hello All. I've posted in the past and remember that some have said that I could increase my dose of T3 to perhaps alleviate the arrhythmia I have been experiencing for many years. I take 75 MCG LEVO (for 35+ years with varying dosages) and 5 MCG Lio each morning. Any comments at this time would be greatly

HC - making me feel worse
Hi everyone,. From May year i reluctantly self medicated with hydrocortisone 20mg after saliva test showed really low in all 4 points. I initially felt well , drowsiness and feeling groggily in the mornings disappeared along with headaches and yawning all day long. I still needed naps here and there

T3 in Pregnancy and breast feeding
I am trying to assist a friend late 30’s who is now about 17 weeks pregnant. She has been on a combination of Levothyroxine and Liothyronine for many years and has been well. Her drs have stopped the Liothyronine and upped her Levothyroxine, informing her Liothyronine is not licenced in pregnancy

Swallowing difficulty, have to chew meds.
About a year ago, I began getting my thyroid meds stuck in my throat. All my other meds, vits and minerals, being much larger, seem to go down ok, as they seem to have sufficient "weight" behind them. My magnesium capsule is the size of a suppository 🤣 and I can swallow that without a problem
