Hi all, Since my last blood test I’ve gone from 100mg to 125g of levothyroxine, I've taken one B complex tablet a day and I'm also taking two viviscal tablets daily to try and help with the hair loss. I've also been GF for about four months.

I went to a dermatologist who recommended , I take viviscal hair tablets ( not cheap) biotin tablets and then on prescription extrovex shsmpoo. Plus every other night I go to bed with rosemary oil and almond oil mixed with a Protopic ointment rubbed into my hair and scalp.

I also take viviscal with 14mg of iron in it. Thank you!

Right now my hairdresser has me on Viviscal. I bought the shampoo and conditioner. She says it's working for her. I've been on a short time so can't really give it review. But I'm giving it a try!

I started to despair as have been taking Viviscal professional vitamins and was hoping that it will slow down, but actually is getting worse and worse. I am on 100mcg work days and 75mcg on weekend of levythroxin.

I gave up my Viviscal tablets because they are quite expensive. Alas, around December, earlier, I noticed small patches had appeared on my head again. I am having to `grin and wear it` pardon the pun! And a hoping now that all doesn`t ` come out in the wash`!

I am still taking the Viviscal tablets as I do think they help. To all alopecia sufferers i would say THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE. x

I previously wrote to say how great I thought the Viviscal pills were. Well for a time they really seemed to be helping. I am just writing in to say alas my lovely thick hair is yet again starting to fall out and in quite big chunks.

Viviscal contains iron I think. Thank you if you made it this far and was wondering if anyone had any ideas please as really do not want to go down the minoxidil route but think it may be my only choice. I’m 43 by the way if that helps!!!

Viviscal Densifying shampoo and condtioner. It's magic!....I bought it from Amazon...not cheap, but so worth it. Even my hairdresser has commented on how quickly my hair has grown. the other little secret and an very expensive one, from the same trychologist...silk pillow cases. Oh wow!

My hair is still falling out and only when I take viviscal which is pricey does it actually stop falling out. I know there is a problem here and I'm thinking why does my GP keep giving me anti-inflammatory as this will not cure my problem. Any suggestions would be taken seriously.

For anyone who may be interested Viviscal is on offer right now in the Holland & Barrett Penny Sale. Buy one box full price and another for a penny. My hair is still doing good. Falls out a little but nothing compared with before. My patches have almost filled in now.

2 months on from taking my Viviscal pills and my patches have been filling in with lengths of 1-2 inches of hair. It is not yet as thick as I should like but it is early days. Alongside the vit pills I am having a healthier diet(less sugary foods). More fish, fruit veg, salad items.

the derm did not give me much hope, unfortunately, and told me not to spend my money on viviscal and the likes.

I have lost nearly 75% of my hair at the back - I plan to use viviscal shampoo- has anyone tried this. what are your suggestions?

i have high selenium without taking a selenium separate supplement and only a multi vitamin and fishoil , flaxseed oil, saw palmetto and evening primrose oil and viviscal pro with oyster powder and shark cartilage in it....HENCE I HAVE HAIR LOSS..... HOW IN THE WORLD TO I HAVE HIGH SELENIIUM.....

I have read some reviews for ´Viviscal Women's Max Strength´ hair loss treatment capsules and the reviews look quite good. They are quite pricey so wanted to see if anyone has used already and got good results from before I commit to buying them. Many thanks
