Nd Thyroid to thyroxine
Hi, I have Hashimoto's thyroid and Endoctrinologist has advised I move from NP thyroid to thyroxine. I was sent for Ultra sound by my doctor and had difficulty getting a follow up as he was on holidays for 2 months. I had to get online doc to refer me and only had report of ultrasound so not the scan

Muscle Damage
Hi all. I’m wondering if any of you have experienced muscle damage from self-injecting, and if so how did you know? How long did it take to heal? The last couple of months or so, it seems like I’m having an increasingly difficult time injecting my thighs. The injection itself seems to go really well

Hi Everyone Long time, no post so I apologise. Since I last spoke to anyone I have been diagnosed with Osteoperosis, so fighting a number of demons. My Rheumatologist has been concerned about my ever decreasing levels of calcium despite eating calcium rich food and doubling my prescribed Calcium supplements

Vitamin timings
Morning from not at all sunny Wales. I don’t know why I struggle with a vitamin routine and I wonder if I’m alone on this? Is it okay to take all of these at the same time after breakfast: Vit D/K, B12, Folate, and DHEA? If I take them then they aren’t near any thyroid medication but wanted

Endo finally tested FT3! Thoughts?
At my last endo appt early Dec, the consultant kept his same stance that my blood tests were all in range and my symptoms were all due to perimenopause. He said there was slight room for a small increase in levothyroxine so ive gone from 125x5/100x2 to 125x6 /100x1 and told me to speak to my gp and

How about Folic acid. i read prostate's have receptors that can help trigger cancer when induced by folic acid
I have taken 5 mg per day folic acid for the last 11 years to help reduce methotrexate side effects for my Rheumatoid arthritis and now have prostate cancer. It may be a coincidence, but I thought I would ask if others had heard about this.

If I don’t talk about it, would that help? How do I heal?
Been through tremendous changes recently it feels like. I have lots of flashbacks very often of different things and thoughts that I can’t believe went through my head. There are lots of alternatives my brain has been working so hard. I would like to be nice to myself. Got really sick about a month

Heme vs Non-Heme Iron Supplements
Since being diagnosed with low ferritin three months ago, I've been on ferrous sulfate tablets (1 - 65mg along with 500 mg vitamin C twice a day with meals). It's been working fine (went from 11 to 45 in a month) without any side effects. However, early on, I purchased a bottle of Three Arrows Heme after

A weird dynamic.
When I make a positive change in my supplementation or activity there is a three day +- uptick as my body is getting more of what it needs. This is followed by a downturn of 5 +- days which I assume is my body healing which is hard on my body and I need a lot of rest. This dynamic was not apparent until

Vitamin and antibody blood test
I got my results back from my test I did on Monday. I’ve attached screen shots below. My ferritin has improved and my antibodies have always been 80 but they seem to have halved ! My vitamin d has also improved. Please can you have a look and see what you think ? And what are thyroglobulin antibodies

Hi all I’ve addressed a thyroid issue - Hashimotos, with the help from the thyroid site. I’m still experiencing fatigue. I am in meno/post menopausal stage. Symptoms do over lap, but have suspected B12 issue for some time. Tend to get low active B12 results. Lots of B12 symptoms. Dr not interested,

Risk of reversing out for A'levels
Hi everyone. I'm in a conundrum. My youngest daughter, 17, has low B12 (181ng/L, so not low enough for our GP to take any notice), inherited from me (141ng/L and now self-injecting) and her grandmother (hospitalised on intravenous B12 for several months in the '50s). She has quite low folate at 5.5.
