Update with Vit B12 & Folate results
Hi, I posted a little while ago with recent Thyroid results. SlowDragonsuggested I come back with some other results once I had them. I'm not diagnosed with a Thyroid issue as of yet. These results are following an appointment with an NHS Endocrinologist. I didn't think about him taking bloods at

I'm seeing a neurologist for balance problems and occasional slurring of words. I was diagnosed with Pernicious Anaemia (currently on B12 injections) in July this year and have had vitiligo for over 20 years. One of the blood test done was for TPO antibodies with were 78 which apparently had been

Back to life thanks to this forum! GP Next steps though - further levo increase?
You've been so helpful. Your collective knowledge has led to a diagnosis of (ords) hashimotos, my levo being upped to 75mg and I'm pain free for the first time in 5 YEARS! Thank you. I feel alive again. I armed myself with printed NICE guidelines and facts/ research and GP didn't resist this time and

Vertigo 3 months after starting the B12 treatment
Hi, I got vertigo today. It has been 3 months after I started treatment for B12 and D deficiency. I understand that people have mentioned about reversing symptoms but wanted to check if someone else has faced vertigo and completely recovered from it. Which medicine did you take for vertigo apart?

Hope this is a blip...
Hi all, I'm noticing a return of the nerve pings and tingles that first took me to the gp 5 months ago, especially the weird quivering lips... all this disappeared pretty soon after 6 loading doses, and I SI every 3 days since then. Taking iron, folic acid, VitD as recommended and eating a daily banana

List of medications to avoid?
Hi all, hope we're all getting our natural Vitamin D on this sunny Sundayāļø? I understand there are some medications that can badly affect us B12 deficients - certain antibiotics for instance. Is there a definitive list available? I've searched this forum but can't find anything. I'd really like to

Does a B12 injection affect a blood test
Got my blood test tomorrow morning at 7:50 I've been off all my vitamins since the weekend but I'm over due my B12 injection, can I have it today or will it skew the results I've had 12 weeks at 25mcg and 8 weeks at 50 mcg so I really don't want to stuff it up

B12 OVERDOSE
In my idle moments I was browsing around and came across Livestrong.com where it states many false ideas, including that B12 is not excreted in urine, too much can give you HEART ATTACK, and a few others. I have pointed them here and asked them to correct their information, but I don't suppose they

PA, or just getting older?
I recently came across an article about PA and back pain. I wonder if I can blame my B12 deficiency for my sciatica and wrist tendonitis? I had thought of them as unrelated. In a way this would be good news as it means they might improve as I get my B12 levels back up. PA seems to cause so many symptoms

Fatigued with anxiety
Hi, I have hypothyroidism which was diagnosed three years ago and am currently on Levothyroxine 100mg daily. My memory has improved to a more normal level but I wake up every morning barely able to open my eyes and in work I am able to function, but I lack sharpness and feel detached, almost like I am

Extra folate & biotin?
Since 24th April, Iāve taken 50mg levo daily, with BioCare Adreno Complex, Igennus Super B-Complex and separate Igennus B12. Itās early days, but in due course I plan to increase levo to 75mg, then 100mg, if my obliging GP will prescribe it. My question is this: is it safe/advisable/helpful to add in

Private GP visit
I saw I private GP today as I felt with more time to go through my symptoms and tests I might get somewhere. But she is of the opinion that my B12, ferritin and folate levels were all fine and nothing to worry about. They are within range. I asked about my symptoms, but she didnāt feel they warranted

Fading away
Hi I'm going to jump straight into this. I collapsed and the hospital diagnosed b12 disorder from the p anemia and gave me loading doses, followed by a year of 12 weekly injections. Then they say I was cured and stopped giving me them which brought back all my symptoms. I then got NAFLD (non alcoholic

New small sub cut needles..
I've recently bought the small needles after advice on this platform to change from IM to Subcutaneous and advised not to pinch skin. However yesterday my daughter was discharged from hospital following surgery and the nurse demonstrated giving blood thinning injections with longer needle pinching
