Double vision looking sideways
I was sitting in a chair and happened to look out of the window without moving my head so I looked sideways (left) with my eyes. There was double vision in the distance. If I closed either eye it disappeared. I took a few blinks to get things back to normal. I don't know if this has been there before

Microshunt Surgery
I have recently been diagnosed late, with glaucoma and only have sight in 1 eye. I’m now being told I need urgent Microshunt surgery on the good eye at Moorfields. Has anyone had this surgery as I am worried by the comments I have read on various forums?

Terrified of surgery
Hi Everyone, I was diagnosed with glaucoma last year not realising there was an issue, and as a result have no vision in one eye. Eye drops are not reducing the pressure in my “good” eye so I am scheduled for trab surgery next week and am terrified. I do not currently have glaucoma in that eye and am

Loose hanging skin on body
Hi everyone, Can I ask please - does anyone get a problem with their skin becoming loose with thyroid meds - I look like the Michelin Man some days - does anyone else experience this and know what causes it. I am on steroids by the way but it isn't that - they seem to help - it is a collagen issue

A worrying few days!
Last Thursday I had a very bad headache - only occasionally get these and they only last a day. But this time it was still there on Friday Morning and it was unusual enough for me to check my vision and I discovered that the vision in the left eye had deteriorated quite a lot. I rang my optician but

Macular Oedema
This week I went for my years late retinal screening. I had noticed I was starting to struggle with small print but put it down to using an old pair of reading glasses (my 2019 ones having broken) and maybe needing some laser treatment. The outcome was a shock. There is no need for anything like laser

My endocrinologist stopped my 5 mcg of T 3 a few months ago to see if T 3 was causing palpitations.!now I am on increased dose of t4, levothyroxine 75mcg 3 days a week and 50 mcg 4 days a week both first thing in the morning on empty stomach. Latanoprost - is it leaking out of my eyes?
Hi - I was just diagnosed with regular pressure glaucoma in one eye 2 weeks ago, and given latanoprost drops to use every evening. I've read all the instructions, I put in one drop, feel it go into my eye, hold a finger over my tear duct for 1 minute, then repeat on the other side. But more often than

PDT VS MICRO-PULSE FOR CSR
Hello everybody! I got to see my retina specialist once again. To check on my current CSR bleed. They did the whole bit, they ran color through my eyes and took a ton of pictures I felt like ET with the amount of bright lights in my eyeballs! But it was well worth it, he was able to see that in my

Surgery Risks?
Hi everyone. Just joined this site yesterday after a recent UCTD diagnosis. Last year, before my diagnosis, I was referred for gallbladder removal. This week, I received a telephone consultation appointment for May. I will ask any relevant questions during the consultation but was wondering meantime

Very dry eyes and constipation linked to dose decrease?
So me going down from 112mcgs to 100mcgs failed after 3 weeks. No blood test to confirm it yet but I'm supposed to get more blood work done at the end of the month. But are dry eyes a hypo symptom? Also started having bad constipation and bloat. Magnesium Citrate 600mgs a day doesn't seem to be working

I can see!.. Sort a...
This morning I had the cataract removed from my left eye. What an experience! I don't have much depth perception but I can already see better out of it & it's only been 8 hours. I was a little nervous about being awake during the procedure but with the tad bit of anesthesia I didn't care. I could see

Encouraging results from the CureParkinsons supported Phase II clinical trial of the GLP-1R agonist Liraglutide
There were 37 randomly assigned to Liraglutide & 18 on placebo (2:1); At 54 weeks, non-motor symptoms scale scores had improved by 6.6 points in the liraglutide group & worsened by 6.5 points in the placebo group; MDS-UPDRS III (change from baseline) = not significantly different Secondary outcome analysis

Headache after coming off prednisolone
I’m new here, apart from browsing and learning a lot, thank you. I am female age 67, in UK. I am asking humbly for your thoughts, realising that I am much better off than so many on this site to whom I can only offer my sympathy. Can anyone help me judge whether my current frequent headache may be

the new doctor has very different opinions about my eyes
I was dealt a blow today. I wonder my experience is unique. Unknown to me, my eye doctor had left the practice and a new doctor was assigned for me. - he didn't let me know or made sure someone take over, so I had to phone the clinic about my regular check up - anyway, at my first meeting with the
