Pvcs and sex
I recently noticed I have pvcs for the last few weeks. I'm currently waiting to do an echo ,next week ,and had a holter on for 24 hours. Haven't heard back from dr yet. I did have blood work come back as all good. er dr say the pvcs look benign. My dad recently died so probably due to that. My question

Pvcs
My dad passed away two weeks ago. About 4 hours after, I started having these weird heartbeats . Went to urgency room and nothing showed up on EKG or on the monitor as they watched my beats. Blood work was fine. A few days later I went to er cus they were scaring me. Ekg didn't pick any up but two

Geez here I go again fearing a heart attack. I literally just had a 2 week heart monitor on (results: harmless pvc's which I was offered beta blockers but was told didn't have to take them unless I wanted to not deal with palpitations.) And I had blood work done with the results being, I'm healthy and

many PVC per minute
I am 58, having PVC for 6 years. It is worse last time. I have them almost all the time. 6-8 per minute. Sometimes I am OK, sometimes I feel pressure in my chest so I do not know anymore if it is PVC or something else. I took 2,5mg beta blocator nebilet ( nebivolol ) and last 2 weeks increased to 2 x

cranky heart
Hi I am new. I have had palpitations since I was in my 20s but just occasionally until about 12 yrs ago then they increased. I now have them daily. I was diagnosed with afib about 8 yrs ago and then two yrs later told I did not have afib instead they were PVCs. Now I am told I have afib but it does

Can one tell the difference between a PVC and a PAC
Hi all, since acquiring AF I've been experiencing a load of ectopics. I understand PACs are from the atria and PVCs are from the ventricles. Is there a way to tell them apart? I've had 48hr holter and I was told I had a number of PVCs. Since then my 'ectopic load' appears to have increased (possibly

Stents and anxiety
What didn't help was the fact that I had always suffered with arrhythmia and supra
ventricular
tachycardia
(SVT or rapid heart beat) all my life and is non life threatening. So when the SVT started happening again after the heart attack it really messed with my head.

Multiple SVTs in a 24 hour period?
I started having SVT around Jan 2014. I had a few doozies that would last an hour or so. Since then I have been on generic Sectral 200mg. Yesterday afternoon I was fine and out of the house and came home. Just felt bad, very anxious. Wouldn't you know it a little bit later I had my first SVT in

Popped to GP, result as expected.
I had a mixed weekend, I managed to get out both days to do things which was great BUT both days I suffered a lot of thumps/jolts/skips which restricted my mobility doing those things quite a bit. I've had this now 13 weeks to varying degrees but recently it's worsened again which is frustrating. I saw

Worried about palpitations/cardiomyopathy
I have had palpitations for years and years , since I was about 12 years old. I have also had an anxiety disorder for around the same length of time (OCD and generalised anxiety). I have a lot of ECGs and a 24 hr recording taken, the 24 hr one showed some PVCs and PACs but nothing to be concerned over

Hybrid ablation part 2
I am part of a clinical trial to judge the outcomes of a mini maze procedure followed by a catheter ablation compared to two catheter ablations. I had been in persistent AF since Feb 2016, give or take a few weeks after cardioversion. I had the mini maze on April 6th. Since then I have been predominantly

Normal concern or unnecessary worry?
For many years I had occasional bouts of PVCs, then during a time of great stress I was diagnosed with paroxysmal AF, but it wasn't until a year ago that I was given Flecainide twice a day, Metoprolol and Xarelto. Recently wore a 2-week Zio Patch monitor to give the cardiologist a clearer idea of how

Had cardiology appointment today, no real progress!
My irregular and now pretty painful heart beats are still increasing so much so I ended up in A&E this week but the result of that was nil, except being checked out for immediate danger. However I did manage to get a cardiologist appointment for today which wasn't entirely fruitless but also didn't resolve

Recognising the effect of anxiety within AF
Reading Richard75's recent post titled "Light at the end of the AF tunnel - a success story" has really opened my mind about the role of anxiety within AF. Prior to my AF, I was lucky to have never suffered from anxiety, stress or depression. And so my latest theory is that all of the worry I

verapamil
Has anyone been given verapamil to use as a pill in the pocket to either stop tachycardia or stop pvc's ? I was at the ER a couple of days ago with tachycardia that lasted almost four hours. 100ml of Flecainide didn't stop it so they did a chemical cardioversion and it stopped it straight away. I'm always

Had a really rough couple of days. Anyone know what this tingling in my arms and fingers is all about?
This thing is hitting me way harder than I expected. I haven't been in AF for 6 days, but the last 3 days I've been getting lightheaded and tingling down my arms and into my little fingers (normally after I've been on my feet for 20 minutes). Some hours later I get hit by a powerful head rush. Not enough

Dizziness feeling when in NSR?
It has now happened to me on 3 occasions. Just wondering if anyone recognises these symptoms as being associated with AF, or should I be looking elsewhere? Just an hour ago I was sitting in my car when I felt a strong head rush / dizziness coming on. My head feels kind of fizzy and fuzzy inside. My
