Alivecor Heart Monitor. - Very helpful !
I am very pleased with the Alivecor monitor. It recorded sessions of: Atrial Fibrillation RVR, Atrial Flutter, PACs, PVCs, V.-Tach/PVCs, and readings up to 214bpm -at which time I had to put it down! Alivecor's email support was very helpful as well. Check into the user manual, (on the menu: HELP

Third ablation recommended
My case is little bit complex , I had few types of irrethemia along with artificial valve after two open heart surgeries and a scar in the heart . As most of you aware I just had my second ablation two weeks ago , and I can say both of my previous ablations were successful thank god . First one stopped

Live Q&A on chemicals in plastic packaging
Scare stories about bisphenol A, PVC and phthalates are still circulating, they regularly come across journalists’ desks and we get calls about them. We're hosting a live Q&A today at noon. You can follow the discussion on the Sense About Science website and on Twitter or Facebook. We're using #plasticQA

I am new to the group I have had a liver biopsy and was diagnosed with stage two PVC in 2010. I was put on ursodiol 1200 mg a day. I have only had itching about five times in the past four years. I'm happy about that but I do have a lot of pain and bloating the seems to be going on this past year and

Alivecor Feedback please! Does anyone find their readings very limited and hard to read the wonky Ecgs?
I place my hands on the table to limit mvmt and feel I succeed but the ECGs are quite wonky. When I get PACs SVTs PVCs and once an IVCD I understand the wobbles but often I am in NSR with very strange readings! So far always in NSR with or without the other indications. I am quite perplexed by the

Nonsustained paroxysmal supra ventricular tachycardia and paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia and frequent ventricular ectopic
The above mentioned diagnoses had been written in my recent medical report in addition of recurrent atrial flutter which had been treated successfully by ablation last Aug My doctor is recommending another ablation to treat only the SVT , but never mentioned anything about the VT , he advised me not

Hi - I'm new on here but not new to HU because I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and autoimmune Hypothyroidism. I'm hoping someone can help me here. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between super ventricular tachycardia and atrial fibrillation? ???
I have S.V.T is it any different from AF? I have researched both , they seem to have same symptoms, irregular rapid heart beat, missing beats, fatigue & shortness of breath ect & both affect the top chambers of the heart . ...so is it the same condition but with a different name?

50 and a man with a canoe
So I reached 50, it was a nice quiet day. I went kind of reflective for an hour, I'm calling that my 'OMG I'm 50' moment. It was short. The most concerning thing was whether now I have to hang up the PVC disco shorts, and I decided no, they should have been hung up 30 years ago so it was a bit late.

Being negative about being positive
I am too cheerful, I don't struggle enough, I have it too easy, I don't suffer, I am too happy, wait until you get advanced, a bad advert for fundraising, must have an agenda..... believe me I have heard all of these and more.... I am 50 in two days time. It feels like a milestone of sorts, but only

No, no, no, the heart?!
Hello again peeps. I've been doing pretty well until now, but I've been hit hard by symptoms again. I've got an echo coming up next week, but I'm very worried so I need some pre-test advice please. As you can probably tell from the title of my post, I'm worried to no end! I have an echo coming up

I had come home from a wonderful 2 week holiday in Spain with my wife. I felt refreshed and relaxed ready for the working months ahead. With the aim to earn enough to pay the bills and think of where to go next year for our holiday. At least that was the plan and like most well laid plans, things

Progressive symptoms - B12 deficient but not PA, where to go for help?
After endless visits to the GP surgery over a period of four years I was finally diagnosed by a locum with B12 deficiency and admin life long injections. Although, they state I am not PA they appear to be uninterested in finding the underlining cause. For the past 12 months my symptoms are progressive
