Brand new to this, well, sort of - and need help to learn
So, back to my question: if I am due to walk up a hill I now do take
ventolin
. Likewise if I do anything that I know brings on coughing fits. And so on.

Daughter recently diagnosed
She has spent a week using just
ventolin
, the cough hasn't eased but the inhaler does help relax her after a coughing fit. Spoke to dr again today and she is adamant it is asthma and gas put her in clenil modulite, we are to try this for the next two weeks and then go back to see the asthma nurse.

First stage sickness absence meeting triggered :'(
I'm on Seretide;
ventolin
( no surprise there); Montelukast; Omeprazole and Vitamin D as my blood levels were negligible!

Wondering about inhalers and asthma exacerbation.
Had a sinus problem and used my
ventolin
then and all was well. Was wondering if like with my old inhalers I could up the dose of these if I did have a bad asthma exacerbation.

Not a great week Grrrrrrrr..
. 😒 I'm taking my emergency Pred again,
ventolin
etc and hopefully I'll get it under control. They are going to pay me some money which is good, but I wondered if anyone else has gone through this and how you coped with all the conflicting emotions... Stacey

What to do...
I am going to get an urgent appointment tomorrow with my surgery as I have maxed on my
ventolin
today but it's not done a great deal to help. My preventer is a cheaper version of seretide. I had been on Duoresp Spiromax till three weeks ago but it was useless!

" Asthma is over diagnosed and trivialised"
I know my daughters were handed
Ventolin
inhalers , many years ago now, after wheezy chests were diagnosed. I also remember the rows of inhalers that suddenly appeared , again many years ago, when I was still teaching.

Fed up on pred.
At the moment I'm on symbicort 400, singular and
ventolin
, plus atrovent.. I have a moon face and feel rubbish. I'm going to the consultant on Monday , hopefully will give me some hope. I've been asthmatic since I was 2 (50 years). Just needed to get how I feel today out in the open!!!

SPACER ADVICE
I have been using the four breath approach but recently tried one single breath when inhaling
ventolin
through a spacer and felt I got better results. Thoughts anyone?

Hello I'm new ....
Doctor has given me
Ventolin
to use when I need it which seems to be more regularly. When I get wheezy I cough up fluid and my chest gets sore when I breathe in or cough. Doc says I may have an irritated lung?? Anyone heard of this or know how long it might last? I've had it since Christmas.

Is it asthma or is it a chest infection
My inhalers (symbicort and
ventolin
) don't seem to help. Should I wait until Tuesday when the GP surgery opens again or do I tryand get an out of hours appointment? Even if I did, what more could they do? This is not fun. I have two kids who are sick of their mum being ill. 😥

Week 6 Run 1
Remembered to have a puff of
Ventolin
before leaving and spent the first run actually singing along to Laura's cheese-fest songs! The last run took me into the main tourist area of Rochester, so I felt the need to show off a bit and run like a normal person (rather than my usual zombie shuffle).

Wk5R3 OMFG :O
I also seem to have sorted my breathing out by having a puff on my hubby's
Ventolin
before leaving. That was the least breathless I've been throughout the programme so far. My breathing was completely back to normal before I'd finished the warm down walk.

Spring has sprung
Well I'm feeling a bit better still not 100% but getting there slowly used my
ventolin
a lot less today so far and had a good night sleep. And on a positive not on the first day of Spring the sun is shinning here in Liverpool hope it's shining where you are 🌞

Mild asthma? No asthma?
I only ever had one while in a flare-up, in a glass cabin before and after
ventolin
, which apparently showed a difference. Unfortunately, this was not in the UK and I don't have the report and no way of getting it. - both ventoline and formoterol work well.
