Airway management
Been told by my new Consultant to only use Ventolin when I wheeze? I have for Bronchiectasis . Previously I was told use four times a day to help with airways. Since changing to this new advice I have found my breathing has not been as good. Any advice please. Still quite new to all this. Diagnosed

Is it just me or are allergies extra bad this year?
25M Been waking up a lot earlier than usual, then back to sleep for an hour or 2. Then eventually my nose is so blocked its a constant coughing fit. Nightmare to get the ventolin inhaled. Everything I cough or blow out is yellow. Peak flows down to 430 from my usual 600 when I can manage. Who knows what

Uncomfortable breathing
I have had mild asthma for about 25 years, usually controlled well. Within the last 4 weeks I am struggling to get a good enough breath in which leaves me feeling very uncomfortable and sometimes light-headed. I have been to see the asthma nurse who advised to take up to 10 puffs of Ventolin at any one

Clenil switch to Luforbec
just been switched to Luforbec after years on Clenil to address night disturbance. Luforbec makes me feel uneasy, nervous and very anxious and has not improved night time symptoms. Never experienced such problems with Clenil but did when taking ventolin as a reliever. Anyone else experienced anxiety

Fostair and Ventolin
My GP told me I don't need Ventolin because the Fostair can be used in the same way as the Ventolin when needed. Why then so many years I've been taken the Ventolin prescribed and the Fostair used only in the morning and evening. Any comments on this would be much appreciated. Thank you so much.

Spirometer
I went for a spirometry today so I was wondering if anyone can make head or tail of these readings? This is before Ventolin.

Oximeter
I have been a bit hors de combat recently, so bought myself a little oximeter, 16 pounds from amazon. I have always found the variation in my peak flows irritating, also I do not like using the peak flow when badly out of breath. So I wondered how for me personally an oximeter worked as a measure of

Raised rash
I’m sorry that I come and go on this site. A lot has been going on. Family health stuff. I was previously on Trelegy and I thought it was wonderful but I did get some indigestion/ reflux and the specialist said Trelegy was a bit stronger than I probably needed and changed my puffer to Flutiform. After

Salamol doesn’t work for me! Is anyone else finding it less effective than Ventolin?
Hello asthma buddies, Ok.. so while I’m all for saving the planet, I’ve been told my new blue inhaler, Salamol, is a CFC free equivalent to Ventolin. If I order a repeat prescription for Ventolin I automatically now get a Salamol. This happens at all phamrmacies I’ve tried. I have been told that eventually

New Salmol inhaler tastes awful
Has anyone been prescribed a new blue inhaler to replace the Ventolin blue one? I've just been given Salmol and thankful my asthma is well controlled because it tastes like glue. Are there any other options that don't taste so bad?

A Fairy Tale For Lungies
Mr. Wolf was feeling hungry And he was thinking big. 'What I'd like for dinner Is a nice fat juicy pig. There's a stupid pig who lives nearby Has built his house of straw. It won't be long before he finds Me knocking at his door.' The pig said 'I won't let you in. I am not such a clown'

Confusing advice from consultant
I had a terrible experience today. My son's asthma consultant became annoyed at me and my husband because we chose to homeschool our five year old, largely because of his asthma. He gets three to four days of constant coughing when it flares and he was like this at least twice a month. We think viruses

Sudden struggle for breath about 4 times a day, then coughing uncontrollably- during which time I am unable Catch my breath, making a pulling sound to to draw some air/ breath I have Asthma Bronchiectasis. I use ventolin perhaps 4 times a day, then at night. I feel helpless as it happens frequently

CHANGE TO FOSTAIR
Changed from salbutomol/Ventolin to Fostair. There is some improvement. How long should it be until Fostair is fully effective? Thanks.
