not a good day
After my 19 calls this morning I have waited for a call back.. now 7hrs.. Every call was like passing the buck.. I could do n more but wait.. now it’s too late for today as pharmacy closed hence no choice.. would never have thought that such a simple request would be so hard & complicated.. feel grim

How long can preventer take to be fully effective?
I'm 74yr old woman, diagnosed late June'23. Was given brown preventer with Ventolin. Wasn't successful. Given Fostair Nexthaler 2x2 from 22/8. Apart from 1 week in rural Scotland in September I'm still heavily on reliant on reliever. Bearing in mind my age & late diagnosis can anyone give me advice on

it feels like I'll never get better
Hi! I've had constant air hunger every day since June. During my early teens, I was diagnosed with asthma caused by cats. I got prescribed Ventolin which I used when in contact with cats, it helped. I never had any other issues with asthma. As I was young, the allergy tests only confirmed me being

How do you know when your ventolin is used up?
I heard some of the content is propellant but how do you know if you are getting the medication and whether it is near running out. I rarely had to use my ventolin - mostly when developing a chest infection. Now i need it more often. It could do with a counter on it like Fostair. I read something

fluticasone propionate
I was diagnosed a month ago with Bronchiectasis after a Ct scan for my stage 4 breast cancer. I was referred to a pulmonologist who said I had asthma as well as Bronchiectasis and prescribed a nebulizer with abuterol/ventolin and fluticasone propionate He did a bronchoscopy and also found MAC. I will

Salamol Easi Breathe
I was prescribed this by mistake I think. Anyway I've been on Ventolin for decades (I'm 72 soon) It is the same ingredient has Ventolin but works so very much better as it forces me to sit up and inhale deeply. I feel so much better. I'm asking for a repeat!

Covid causing Asthma flare
I had Covid nearly two weeks ago and I've been left with this lingering cough and occasional breathlessness and I've also been finding that I'm using my Ventolin inhaler more, my chest doesn't feel tight but sometimes i just get very out of breath and it's hard to catch my breath. I've found that box

Anyone used Clear o2 oxygen at home for Emergency Use?
Long story short, have severe obstructive asthma, fev1 always crap & ard 49%. On Spiolto & occasionally when I can tolerate it, nebulised budesonide (long story re steroids but they can make my chest way worse!) Anyhow, chest a bit irritable earlier in week, still took my nebulised steroid as thought

pulmonary fibrosis
hi all, I joined recently looking for advice for my husband PF, and copd. He has two inhalers, Trimbow and ventolin. He can’t walk 10 steps without getting breathless. Putting his shoes on he’s breathless. So I measured for oxygen which drops to 82, sit down do nothing and it’ll come back up to 94 within

Fostair
I am in my 70s was diagnosed in early July with Asthma. Initially on Clenil preventer which didn't help. Been taking Fostair Nexthaler since late August it's helping but still using Ventolin 2-3 times a week. How long does Forstair take to be fully effective?

No More Ventolin?
Just put my repeat prescription in to be told Ventolin can't be issued because I already have a regular inhaler, the RelvarEllipta. I have talked myself hoarse explaining that the Relvar is a MAINTENANCE inhaler and the Ventolin is a RELIEVER inhaler without getting anywhere. I've literally just had

Visiting Japan / Tree Pollen
Hi everyone, my daughter is doing a year abroad in Japan for her university course and I am contemplating making the trip of a lifetime next year with my husband to go there, maybe early March or in May, to see her and see a bit of the country. I had very bad asthma as a child (58 now!) but have been

Covid or Asthma
So I recently had Covid and tested negative on Friday, I didn't feel particularly ill throughout my week with Covid apart from complete and utter exhaustion and some ear/ sinus infection which turned out to be a nasty ear infection. I've got this nasty chesty cough and yesterday and today I've been slightly

Hi All Briefly, I am a severe asthmatic on Fostair, Ventolin, Spiriva, Azithromycin, Montelukast, 5mg Pred, daily and Fasenra. Our first evening out since before COVID, my husband and I went to see the Marine Bands which was really very, very good and enjoyable, however, there was some sort of smoke

Management of Cough Variant Asthma
Hello all, My youngest (almost 8 yo) has Cough Variant Asthma (CVA) and is on Seretide 50 (2 puffs morning + night) and Montelukaust (1 tab) at night.
