Inhalers making symptoms worse
Hello all. I was diagnosed with asthma 25 years ago aged 40. It doesn't give me too much trouble (though I have other major health issues)! For the last few months I have been wheezy and coughing a lot, something that I get maybe once a year for six to eight weeks. Usually I just tolerate it until it

Coming off Qvar?
I realise this isn't the best place to ask about coming off a steroid inhaler, but I don't know where else to go other than my GPs' and it's quite hard to get through to them. I'm post-viral since March; maybe Covid, maybe not as it was too early for testing. The breathlessness and wheeze has just persisted

Stranded and frustrated
After being stranded here in Rhodes by my ex wife to avoid me contesting the divorce , the dwp stopped my ESA so I was stranded without possibility of returning to UK or buying my Meds for c.o.p.d so for three years six months I had nothing and obviously my c.o.p.d got progressively worse to the point

Asthma attack recovery time
Hi all, Nearly 7 weeks ago I had 2 asthma attacks and have been recovering since. I was on prednisone for a week, which helped get things less dire, but it's been a pretty uncomfortable time and I don't feel like I've made any progress in the past 4 or 5 weeks. My mobility is currently pretty limited

Boring Asthma Post
So, its been a little while since have posted, but for those of you that follow me, you will know I've really been struggling with my asthma of late. The last month of C25K was a constant battle of getting up earlier and earlier in the morning to try and beat the pollen, and having to take more and more

Help! How do I get over inhaler embarrassment at school??
Hey, I hope you're all well and feeling ok! I only have mild asthma, but I am INCREDIBLY embarrassed about it, to the point where I literally can't take my inhaler in front of people, including my family. When I need my inhaler at school, I'll either sit it out or ask to go to the loos and I know that

Formoterol and Albuterol
Hello again I'm on, and trailed Symbicort and Fostair (2xam, 2xpm and sometimes 1x dinner time) combi inhalers. I know the Formoterol side of the drug is a long acting bronchodilator but I was wondering if being on these, long term (or any term) has an affect on albuterol effectiveness? Does anyone find

Burning back pain from steroid inhaler
Hi, has anybody got contact burning back pain ( mainly when leaning back on a chair or lying on the back) from steroid inhaler. I am not sure if flixotide caused it, but I read about possible skin thinning from inhalers and wonder if this is the case

Catch 22 Again.
Hello. This is a follow-up to my my posts about fostair and symbicort. After doubts about warnings in the pack leaflets about caution around taking symbicort in the case of having diabetes, the practice nurse assured me there was no concern in my case. My regular blood sugar levels in years of tests

Reflux? Asthma? Apnea? Dust allergies?
I know this is a hard question to ask without testing and eliminating symptoms. But I’ve done a sleep test once which was void because the battery was dead and I never retook it. Sleep specialist say I’m young and not overweight and no real snoring so they don’t think I have it. My son recently slept
