Hey guys just wondered if anyone could give me their thoughts or any answers. So I have gone back to work a month before I should be as I was shielding.... only reason being that I was really struggling mentally staying at home for the last 4 months and needed to be back in some sort of routine. During the past 4 months I had been in hospital 3 times with asthma attacks and courses of steroids. I had been okay for the last 3 weeks asthma wise hence why the the return back to work. First week back I done two days in a row which was a Thursday Friday and on the Saturday I had to take my inhaler in the morning as was bit wheezy, all day I felt exhausted from my wheezing and just overall tired. I then have worked Monday Wednesday and Friday (which is tomorrow) this week and on Tuesday the same thing happened and today too but today seems to be a little worse, had to take inhaler in the night and twice this morning. I am starting to think is it the long hours? Could the long hours at work be making my chest worse the following day? Just want some opinions on what you guys think please xx

Hi, Pink, I’m wondering instead about the kind of work you are doing and the environment you are working in. I also wonder about your overall level of asthma-control. What medications are you on to prevent asthma attacks? What kind of long-acting medications do you take, like montelucast sodium (Singulair), or steroid inhalers?
How well controlled was your asthma before the pandemic?
I understand how claustrophobic isolation can be, and there are things you can do to help reduce those symptoms.
But getting control of your asthma HAS to be your priority!

I work in a nursery and am working long days 7am - 6pm. I am on Montelukast tablet, salbutamol, flutiform 2x morning and evening and tiotropium bromide only mornings. Asthma has been poorly controlled over the past 2 years since having pneumonia. Asthma was bad throughout lockdown which I think was related to stress, had 4 asthma attacks over 3 months.
Asthma symptoms for me are worse in the evening and at night, though some people say morning to.
