Why is exercise feeling difficult?
Hello. I am having some exercise issues and wondered if anyone had had anything similar? I was diagnosed with asthma approx. 6 years ago although looking back I had had symptoms for many many years before. I have always been a runner (picture a plodder rather than a speed demon) and have run all sorts

What is wrong with me? Losing the will to live!
Hi guys, Writing this as I’m having a really tough time of it lately and am getting to the end of my tether. I’ve had asthma all my life, and as a child and in my teens it was severe. My childhood was basically spent in and out of hospital. I’m now 28 and for the past 15 years have had what I’d say

Preventive Inhalers
Has anyone been changed from Seebri to Ultibro - as has been suggested to me - would appreciate it if you could tell me if it was better. Thank you in advance for your comments.

Brexit and inhaler shortages
What really worries me is that after keeping ourselves safe from the virus at enormous personal cost at the end of the year we will have a no-deal brexit, or whatever the government likes to call it now. It's been clear that there will be a shortage of medicines and one of those medicines will be inhalers

Medication Dilemma
Last year I was on a cocktail of asthma drugs. Around this time I was regularly hitting my PB. I began to feel uncomfortable taking so many drugs and decided that I wanted to try controlling my asthma with combo inhaler and salbutamol. For the last 6 months or so I’ve not been anywhere near the PB set

I DID IT 🏃🏽♀️🎉💪🏻🏆 I can’t believe I’ve just completed the couch to 5k What a journey it has been. There have been some low lows but more importantly there have been some super high highs and today is by far the best. I went out today and said to myself it’s your last run of the plan so enjoy

Hi I have now been on incruse ellipta 55 powder inhaler ( once daily 24 hour dose ) for over 6 months now and must admit it has stopped my wheezing and helped with my breathing that I have had since diagnosed with copd nearly 8 years ago. Oral thrush eventually successful treatment
Hi, someone mentioned thrush in another post, and I thought it might be useful to share info about oral thrush and eventually successful treatment: The docs changed my inhalers for asthma, I got a rotten dose of oral thrush because apparently new inhaler had smaller particles that stay on the tongue

What do people class as an asthma attack?
I’m just wondering what people here class as an asthma attack? It’s just that I regularly see people writing that they’ve had an asthma attack. I’ve got Brittle asthma and generally class an attack as when I need my ventilin inhaler enough that I need steroids or end up on nebs or in hospital. I was

What I wish I had known (and what I have learnt through trial and error!)
Hi everyone Another repost from a couple years ago (and bought it up 8 months ago too apparently) so apologies if you’ve already read it 😉😂. But it’s another thing that those new to asthma may find helpful, and if anyone has anything they want to add just tag in! (I think this is the last for a while

Symbicort 100/6 for COPD?
Hi. I've just been prescribed this inhaler in place of Fostair. I was diagnosed with COPD in 2010 after initial confusion as to whether I had Asthma. The tests confirmed COPD not Asthma. Reading the package leaflet it tells me this inhaler is SPECIFICALLY for Asthma! It doesn't even mention COPD! In

Nebulizers
Anyone else use a nebulizer? Was just given one but not really sure if I like it more than an inhaler. What do you do to pass time while nebulizing

New to Fostair 100/6
Hi everyone. Just looking for advice! I’ve started on a new inhaler (from seretide to fostair). My consultant has told me to take 2 puffs 4x a day for 2 weeks, then 2 puffs 3x a day for 2 weeks then eventually 2 puffs twice a day then possibly a little less. I’m just wondering if I’m having side effects

What is Peak Flow?
There seems to be a lot of confusion of what peak flow is, how it works and what is a ‘good’ score so I thought I’d make a post on it! WHAT IS PEAK FLOW? Firstly peak flow (PF) can also be called peak expiratory flow (PEF) or peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR) so any and all of these abbreviations means
