Weird form of asthma
All my life I've had asthma in May June due to grass pollen. I moved to Cornwall and now its every day. I've been to consultants but they're baffled. No inhaler works on it above 5% , youcan imagine what that's like and they avoid me. I have a normal FeNO of 11 which is what gets to them. The severity

pulmonary fibrosis
hi all, I joined recently looking for advice for my husband PF, and copd. He has two inhalers, Trimbow and ventolin. He can’t walk 10 steps without getting breathless. Putting his shoes on he’s breathless. So I measured for oxygen which drops to 82, sit down do nothing and it’ll come back up to 94 within

Breathlessness... feels constant
I'm starting to feel constantly out of breath. I've had my heart checked, I do have asthma however the inhalers don't seem to help and both cardiologist and asthma nurse are adamant this isn't from my breathing.. I can only assume at this point that my anxiety is once again taking a hold on me. My issue

No More Ventolin?
Just put my repeat prescription in to be told Ventolin can't be issued because I already have a regular inhaler, the RelvarEllipta. I have talked myself hoarse explaining that the Relvar is a MAINTENANCE inhaler and the Ventolin is a RELIEVER inhaler without getting anywhere. I've literally just had

Visiting Japan / Tree Pollen
Hi everyone, my daughter is doing a year abroad in Japan for her university course and I am contemplating making the trip of a lifetime next year with my husband to go there, maybe early March or in May, to see her and see a bit of the country. I had very bad asthma as a child (58 now!) but have been

4th course of Prednisolone this year
I was at GP last Tuesday as my asthma was very bad following a cold. Having to take my reliever 4 times every 4 hours. No temp or cough etc so given 7 days of 30mg Pred. Monday finished course, felt much worse, sore throat, aches etc. Still no temperature. Bad attack 4am with racing heart, BP 165/102

Invited For Covid Jab
I had a text this morning urging me to book in for a covid booster much to my surpise. I'm not sure what my elibility is based on, I'm not over 65, not diabetic or immunosuppressed. No kidney or heart problems. Certainly not pregnant. I dont have a serious lung condition. I do have asthma and use

Incorrect Hospital Records
Hi, I’ve been having some problems with the respiratory team and requested a copy of my hospital records, which I’ve received. After going through them, there’s lots of information missing and details which are incorrect. I’m a severe asthmatic, and the consultant has now noted “no definitive diagnosis

getting a diagnosis
my son had persistent dry cough as a child, no inhalers worked but he never saw a specialist. A course of oral steroids sorted him out for a good while. He is now 23 and a professional singer, classically trained but suffers with reflux, persistent cough, and gets every virus on his chest. Recently

Colomycin
Good morning everyone I wondered if anyone has had a similar experience, with inhaled Colomycin. I've lived with bronchiectasis all of my life , just like many others in the group, I bet. I've had the "usual" bacteria's haemophilus etc,) that we're susceptible to . Now I'm trying to get my Pseudomonas

Mystified and baffled.
New to this thought my breathlessness was to do with my heart after having a stent fitted 2yrs ago or even the meds in on.I had lung function tests in July results are now back as I can't get to see my g.p.yet does anyone know what these results mean. Hospital advise inhalers and rehab. Obstructive lung

trimbow in asthma
Just started on trimbow after using Spiriva Respimat and Symbicort, and the steroid component is just not enough to keep my asthma under control. Has anyone ever used it together with fostair or symbicort? I know one isn't supposed to but maybe some consultants prescribe two steroid inhalers? Thank

Consultant doesn't believe my diagnosis

W8 r1 awful.
Well, I had been too worked up before I started this run so breathing all wrong. I set off after the walk but had to stop for inhaler. Set off again and had to stop coz I couldn't hear Steve. Hearing aids not connected to blue tooth. I did pause the run each time. Now I carried on feeling much better

Fracture Risk
***Moderator addition: please keep in mind as you read this thread and the replies that while inhaled steroids can have some side effects, not everyone will be affected, and
untreated or poorly controlled asthma is also very harmful and can be fatal.

WHAT TO DO
Hi everyone , what a lovely change in the weather . Hopefully it will stay all weekend. Now I went to the nurse the other day and she is saying I have not had a review of my COPD . But the nurse did one in June and tried me on a different inhaler however it seems the practice nurse who has now retired
