Remission after Venetoclax?
Just got off
Venetoclax
.. followed the Murano Trial. Now three weeks after being off medicine neck and armpits are a little sore. Don’t notice any lymph nodes yet. But a little paranoid. Have people found symptoms to come back this quickly? Thanks. Mav

COVID-19 Vaccinations Opinion from Dr. R. Furman MD (cross posted from CLLSLL@groups.io with his permission )
I am also recommending the same for the PI3K inhibitors and
venetoclax
. Anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies would be different, and it might make sense to defer vaccination until after therapy is completed if there is an option. - I hope this helps everyone.

Looking for a fifth line of CLL treatment
I’m 55 and on my fourth line of treatment in 4 years: BR, Ibrutinib,
Venetoclax
, Acalabrutinib. And it looks like I’ll need a fifth soon. The acalabrutinib keeps the CLL in check but gives me neutropenia. Stopping acalacbrutinib for a week raised my ANC from 0.6 to 2.0.

Venetoclax and Seville oranges
I know people on
venetoclax
can’t eat Seville oranges or marmalade made with them. Stupid question coming up - does this mean other oranges are ok? (And if so, why only Seville oranges?) Many thanks Beryl

It looks very likely I will switch from taking Ibrutinib to taking

. While
Venetoclax
is a tablet, if I start it, apparently each week for the first 5 weeks, I will need to spend 48 hours in the hospital. This is to allow the medical staff to monitor my reaction to the

Increasing LDH
Joined a trial of obinituzimab, ibrutinib, and
venetoclax
. I’m on cycle 13 and numbers in general have been doing well. HOWEVER, my LDH has steadily increased month after month linearly and now is at 400. My doc was thinking transformation and ordered a PET scan - no tumors.

Obinutuzumab and Venetoclax cleared for use in UK
If I read this right, it seems that this is the new go-to combination in the UK? I think I read somewhere that this is also sometimes combined with ibrutinib or acalabrutinib? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-8973227/Thousands-leukaemia-sufferers-spared-chemotherapy-thanks-new-two-one-treatment.html

NICE approves venetoclax with obinutuzumab for patients with untreated CLL
This is good news; initially these patients were not being considered in the NICE appraisal, as there was less clinical trial data available about
venetoclax
and obinutuzumab in this population.

On Venetoclax for 3 weeks, no issues
I'm on Gazyva +

Treatment time... today!
I decided on Obino and
Venetoclax
, which will be started in a couple of weeks. Dr Lamanna likes the first infusion to be in the hospital, where she can monitor for TLS and hydrate me like crazy. Lots of emotions happening, but I know I’m in excellent hands. All prayers welcome!

Biopsy results
He is under
Venetoclax
treatment. Next week will have a bone marrow biopsy. Due to COVID-19 situation, I can't be present in his doctor's appointment. Can you guys tell me what else it could be? I'm scared, like many of you, I'm sure. Thanks for this support.

Venetoclax before Gazyva
My specialist opted to begin with
Venetoclax
as this is part of a successful German study (is what I was told). 2 weeks ago I started
Venetoclax
20mg with 3 nights in hospital. I had a sudden spike in potassium (5.7) which was swiftly corrected with insulin.

AVO Trial update
I had CT scans and bloodwork last Tuesday for comparison before starting
Venetoclax
! My nodes are almost completely gone! At least not visible. Bloodwork looked completely normal! I started
Venetoclax
last Wednesday 20mg. I’ve tolerated it very well other than very very frequent urination!

Does Venetoclax Cross the Blood/Brain Barrier?
Just curious. ... Look, I can Google as well as the next person, but I don’t always know how to interpret what I find. As is the case with my question here. Some sources I found say yes, some say “we dunno,” leaving me back where I started: knowledgeless. Help?

Dental Treatment on Venetoclax
I had a dental check up this morning as a back molar has crumbled - dentist will be able to do a filling. He also advised a scale and polish which I am more wary of as this can damage the gums leading to infection. He is fully aware of my CLL and medication and says he will be very gentle when near my

Results after 3 months on Venetoclax, with questions?
After suffering a major case of hemolytic anemia in July, I was put on
Venetoclax
and actually had stellar results for three months, until about a week ago now.

Results of Phase II Study of Combination Obinutuzumab, Ibrutinib, and Venetoclax in Treatment-Naïve and Relapsed or Refractory CLL
I think the most surprising thing in this report is that not everyone responds - "The overall response rate at that time was 84% in treatment-naïve patients and 88% in relapsed or refractory patients." A short report here: https://ascopubs.org/doi/full/10.1200/JCO.20.00491 Jackie

Adding Venetoclax to Ibrutinib
Any thoughts about adding
Venetoclax
to ibrutinib. Been on ibrutinib since May 2020, with a beautiful response. Thinking about my future and if it would be beneficial to discuss adding
Venetoclax
with my MD. I sense he would say not at this time, since I have done so well in the ibrutinib.
