I had a dental check up this morning as a back molar has crumbled - dentist will be able to do a filling. He also advised a scale and polish which I am more wary of as this can damage the gums leading to infection. He is fully aware of my CLL and medication and says he will be very gentle when near my gums. Just wanted reassurance that others have had these minor procedures and it’s all been ok. My consultant says a simple filling is fine without need for antibiotics. Thanks ever so. x

This was a major concern of mine also - especially during FCR when Ns and Ls were super low. I had 5 molar "patch ups". Major reconstructions were planned for this summer - but something else occurred (!)
During WnW I had regular dentistry interventions, including hygienist work. The aim was to get my mouth in excellent shape pending chemo.
I had no issues.
In fact proper brushing of teeth will disturb oral bacteria. If there is gum bleeding on brushing, then oral health needs work!
Poor oral health is a bigger threat than the dental maintenance needed to achieve good oral health.
I would support the reassurance you have already received.
I'm on 400mg of Venetoclax daily. Recently had two old crowns removed (front two rabbit teeth), replaced with temps, then those were removed & replaced w/ permanent crowns weeks later. Minor gum trauma, but no issues otherwise; healed up in a day! No antibiotics prescribed.
I just finished the scaling and deep cleaning my dr wrot a script after I brush my teeth and floss I use chlorhexidine and brush again with sodium fluoride dental gel 1.1%
I've always been shy about my teeth and wanted to have perfect, even teeth. I would like to know how much the surgery will cost, as well as which choice (braces, veneers, etc.) is the best. Many "get" to the doctor by accident, or come to the first clinic they come across. This is a big mistake. The right choice of a doctor is a guarantee of a successful result of treatment and the absence of problems: medical, moral and financial in its process. I found it so smileworkshop.com/dental-se... and I am grateful to them for my gorgeous smile.
Your visit to the dentist proves once again that you need to have your teeth checked and monitored regularly. I visit the dentist once every six months if I don't have any problems that need to be fixed. Oral hygiene is an aspect in my body care that I pay a lot of attention to. It is very expensive to treat teeth nowadays, so I try to do my best to keep them healthy for longer. Once every 6 months, I get my teeth cleaned professionally. Soon, I want to have gentle whitening. My mom needs a dental implant because her tooth cannot be treated, though. As far as I know, she will be getting Mini Implant Dentures jeffreygrossdds.com/service.... We trust our dentist and have no doubts about the quality of his services.
